Had some fun with the editing on this one. Really happy with the ender too.
this is also my grind assist 10 propaganda.
After going back to skate 1-3 I realized how much better grind magnetization was in skate 4. one of the major reasons of playing skate 3 on hardcore was because it made certain lines and tricks more easier. but skate 4's magnetization is actually not that bad.
For most cases I think grind assist 5-20 might be the most fun range unless you're manualing on narrow ledges. The only other reason to be on grind assist 0 is to make the game a bit harder --I think I will still play on it, but 10 feels like it gives me the right amount of magnetization I need without ruining the timings I already use on grind assist 0.
for grind assist 0 I showed the best 5 attempts raw, all the other ones I tried to be fair and include the best 5 attempts that happened in a row plus more since the timings are different. you have to overshoot more on higher assist settings or else you get into fakie 5-0 or lip slide -- so somehow higher grind assist is harder sometimes lol
A couple of my viewers have asked me to go through how I film my clips.
Here is a fresh tutorial on my process on filming in skate.
it got a little messy at the end and I trick spammed 2 tricks to win (it was a close match) but other than that I'm surprised 5k might be reachable if you get a perfect run. of course "normal" is subjective, but my overall idea is 1-2 tricks per ollie and having a route that is varied somewhat.
btw its cool if you dont play "normally" I personally like showing off and don't care about winning unless I'm actually close to first place. I sometimes do runs for points, sometimes for style, this one was supposed to be style and I didn't expect to get so much points from it. I usually bail at the rail grind attempt xd.
4.6k is probably the most I ever got in any spot battle so that's my post's merit
