I mean moves for both- one’s own character and the remaining characters in the roster.

I believe for one’s opponent, one needs to remember their most used strings/pokes, correct?

But for my main, how many should i realistically learn to be decent at tekken. I get that there are top 5 moves to learn at the start, which includes pokes, launchers/punish. Now when it comes to combos, I really get overwhelmed. On top of that, i fear dropping combos in the heat of a real match.

Is the solution to just practice and lab? I really wanna get serious with tekken as my second fighting game after sf6

I’m a Tekken Emperor with Steve Fox. I have my ranked match settings set to +2 or lower. Why do I never get matched with Tekken Kings or Bushins but instead always get matched against Tekken Gods and TGS? It kind of isn’t fair. I would be Tekken God right now if they just mixed in Bushins and Tekken Kings but noooo it’s either my same rank or above.

I made a post recently about reaching fujin and someone said I could make it to tekken king with my winrate. I made it to bushin without too much of a hassle but I can’t get out of it. I’ve been here more than a week now and it’s making me lose my mind. Sometimes I beat tekken emperors are sometimes I lose to raijin and I always end up losing Everytime I play and I get really frustrated. I’ve been learning combos, studying frames, learning matches I even learned how to wave dash albeit clunky. I just don’t know what to do. This may be seen as more of a vent post but idk what else to do I’m going crazy here.

Here we are! After weeks of practicing and do quick matches, I finally was able to reach GoD III, and right before CEO as well! Now, I don't think I can get to top 32 (or top 64, for that matter), but I would like to think I won't drown in pools. 😂

If anyone would like some tips about Jun and what happened during my climb, just go ahead and ask!

I am looking for some information on steve from anyone that can help. I am ranked around bushin with several characters and like to try and learn a new one ever couple of weeks for fun. I tried picking up steve and I'm just having a heck of a time figuring out how to navigate him. He plays so different and it's just throwing me off.

If anyone has an information, tips, tricks, or tech it would be super appreciated. I really like him, i'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing.
