Decided to grind Rank for a few hours, happy that I got TE :D

I normally don't do ranked and was just sitting in Fujin for a long time. I usually just do lobby matches or quick matches for the longer sets. Decided to do Ranked, and I'm glad that I got TE :O

CALLING ALL Jun, Lars, Leroy and Reina Mains!

Hi 😌
I just got Raven to GoD and I want to pick up one of these peeps as a secondary character. Now I know, I know the whole rhetoric of “pick a character based on what you want to accomplish”, but I want you guys to give me YOUR reasons why I should main them from YOUR perspective and what makes them fun to play! I think all 4 of these characters are awesome and don’t know who I should start with lol.

I mained Lars and Drag in T6 and always thought that Lars was so cool but I’m a bit concerned that he’s just a stance maniac in T8 and he may not feel as rewarding to play. Let me know your thoughts.

SN: coming from Raven who is a high risk high reward character with lack of +ob options, it would be cool to learn a character that has a little of that.

Pad / CD input on PS5 question

Anyone use a pad on PS5 other than the standard PS5 controller? I was thinking about switching the one where the d-pad buttons were completely separate because I can't get consistent CD inputs faster than the shortcut versions for Yoshi. I.e. you can input df2+3 to get his samurai cutter but it comes out around 3 frames slower than CD2, but I think my CD input timing ends up slower than the 3 frames it technically saves. I used to play Hwo and could never get the f df:4 JFSR input either.

Long story short, does d-pad with separate buttons actually make a difference? I heard it makes quarter and half circle inputs harder too, is that the case?

Curious question here

What's the learning curve of going from controller to leverless. is it easy, hard or just ok. i have a cheap arcade stick on my PS4 to see if i would like it and upgrade it if i did, but i didnt because it wasn't for me. now on PS5 I have the dual sense(obviously), Razer Raiju Pro V3, the wired Hori Fighting Commander Octa, and my personal favorite and go to controller the Victrix Pro BFG. Im wondering what the learning curve is going from controller to leverless and is the upgrade worth it if i can get a Haute42 leverless for cheap.

How to deal 100+ damage with Alisa

So i started to play Alisa recently but i can't figure out a combo that deals 100+ damage like most characters have.

The biggest combo dmg i found was the one that ends with dual boots F1 but it's not even close to 100 dmg . Even if i get the wall , can't do more than 80-85 dmg. Any tips ?

Using the no-stress mod helped me climb from TG-GOD in two sessions

I was hardstuck TG cause I would always assume the opponent is better than me due to having higher prowess or higher rank and I would subconsciously play passive or scared. I downloaded the no stress mod that hides this info and in one session i got supreme. After a two week break again in one session I got GOD. If you have the same issue i highly recommend it for pc players.

GoD1 (not so pretty) with Asuka + a bonus clip

It was a bit more harder than I thought as it seems like players are now used to the new system and the nerfs. It was chaotic ranking up, I just finished my work shift and I'm tired, my fingers were tired that I was dropping a lot of combos even before the rank-up match but I can just taste it. It was exhausting but still fun in the end.

I want to hold back in saying that Asuka is weak because she's been gutted the most this S3, I know there will be more nerfs incoming that hopefully will balance the playing field.

My thoughts while playing, I will also add my own Tier List just based on how I feel fighting these characters:

  • Lidia and Alisa needs to be gutted like a fish, or at least in Lidia's case is tone down her plus frames and damage, and make he burn a lot of heat and medals when doing some of her moves. Alisa needs to be reworked.
  • I think Dragunov or John Tekken is the best character in the game right now. He has all the tools, the damage, with what I feel a few drawbacks, but I'm not sure how he can be balanced. Bryan's damage needs to be toned down.
  • IMHO Law is okay, just remove the heat regen. King (and Armor King in extension) needs to be toned down, they should not 2-tap you for 60 damage, plus tracking throws needs to be removed. Fck Victor, fighting him feels like they are playing a different game. Hopefully they nerf Hwoarang's tracking, how can you side step when he is a SSC or where his chest is facing? I think Zafina's alright, her chip damage needs to be toned down though.
  • I enjoy fighting everyone in my A+ tier, except Lars, fck Lars. His wall ender damage needs to be toned down, plus there should be a penalty if he whiffs an attack from entry as he is too mobile and just zips away. Lili is SSL, but she keeps realigning or maybe nerf her tracking? I'm not really familiar with all her new moves since the last time I played her was Tekken 6. I feel Jin is okay, maybe tone down his plus frames a bit?
  • Because of AK, there are ton of Shaheen players, luckily they're not as good as AK. Once you read their gimmick, they were manageable.
  • Eddy player? On Wi-Fi? With a potato PC? Sorry win or lose, its a one and done and a block. I just don't want to be stressed and this feels like a QoL improvement on my end.
  • Fahkumram is lowkey very strong because of his range especially with a capable player that will just keep you out and he has counter hits. Its hard getting close, maybe they should increase his hurt box a bit.
  • They should remove guard break from the game, or change the hit property.
  • No one should be able to regenerate heat.
  • I wish there was a way to filter out Wi-Fi players.

The bonus clip was just my longest win streak, and I'm just a bit proud of it even if the last match was a Miary Zo (which finessed me with 100+ damage) which is huge knowledge check on me so I just tried to block mid. Lost the streak to the next game vs a GoD2 or GoD3 Leroy which is also a KC on me.

Is it just me, or is there more taunting the higher the rank?

So I've been climbing the rank ladder the last 3 weeks, and I swear I've never seen so much Ki charging/special style spamming/t bagging. This is the first time I've gotten to around GoD, so I'm surprised the players here seem to love taunting more than lower ranks.

Has anyone else noticed this, or have I just had a weird series of run-ins?

I spam special style when I get styled on

I posted this in main sub and nobody took my bombastic and positive outlook seriously :(

If you do cook on me or do something sick, it's the only way I can communicate that it's like a pop off detector ok

Average Alisa main politely hands me Tekken Emperor

This Alisa obviously had no clue what they were doing, so this wasn't as flashy of a promo match as I might have preferred. But at least I got TEKKEN EMPEROR!

With these kinds of players you can never really be sure what they're going to do, so a reliable and funny way to deal with them is to just play like a troll lol. It's not like they're gonna do anything about it.
