Lucki changed his style to a more Detroit flow in 2020 and niggas still act surprised

since 2020 Lucki been going towards a more Veeze/Babyface Ray/Baby Smoove detroit style mixed with his own he was already on a more trap path since 2015.

Horrible

I really tried to give it a chance, listened through it so many times - DRB is hands down his worst project like I’m genuinely shocked the shits so bad

Underrated Lyrics

Im tired of people hyping the same couple lyrics when he has an endless amount that deserve more recognition . His cleverness and wordplay gets overlooked when it’s not the relatable sad shi. They’ll be nothing dramatic but they’re so casually original and clever, shi you could only think of when your mind and heart are truly in it. This era was a brilliant artist at their absolute peak capability and productivity.

When did lucki get an accent? When did his voice get so good?

I seen his “Dubuscoootinoo-ooo-oo-oo” music video and wtf?? How does he do that accent? He has also gained much more weight

Why does lucki sound slow and slurred

So this is more of idk if anyone noticed but I've been listening to lucki for awhile and I got Klonopin for anxiety and I noticed when I'm on it that suddenly he sounds like hes just rapping/ talking at a normal sounding pace

When I'm sober or on weed sometimes it sounds like he's kinda slurring or slower, someone tell me they aren't the only one who experienced this 😂

My Lucki tier-list, because y'all were cooking that other guy who had similar takes to me.

There's nothing in the D-tier because the tier list I was using didn't have Dr*gs R Bad, but that would go in the D-tier. I consider all the albums from S tier to C tier to be good albums, DRB is honestly the only Lucki album I don't think is good. The Lucki Ecks era was the era I got introduced to Lucki with, so I'll always have love for it, but I think y'all are on rocks if you genuinely think that era was better than the run he had from Watch My Back up to Flawless Like Me.

I disagree with the other guy's placement of Body High and Flawless Like Me. I love Flawless Like Me, probably the last Lucki album I truly loved, but I definitely don't think it's better than the first two Freewaves or Almost There. I personally think Almost There is his most underrated project by far.

I think the Lucki Ecks era was very cool, but I didn't really think of Lucki as a special rapper until Watch My Back. Albums like Alternative Trap and Body High are just a lot more derivative of other alternative, hipster rap, type stuff coming out at that time. I loved those albums when they came out, and I still listen to them, but Lucki only became one of my favorite rappers with Watch My Back as opposed to just being another rapper I fucked with among many. I think the problem with Lucki right now is he's too derivative of his peers, and during the Lucki Ecks era he was also very derivative of his peers. He was just derivative of a different sound than he's derivative of nowadays.

I think Lucki's writing is at its best when it's very minimalist and raw, Freewave 3 has his best writing by far. It's not as lyrically dense as Body High of course, but I don't think that type of lyricism is what makes Lucki so special. My favorite Lucki writing is when he's just dropping visceral line after line about the realities of addiction, when he's practicing the idea of "show, don't tell."

Since the other guy got cooked for having similar opinions to me, I'm expecting to get cooked too. But solidarity with everyone on this sub who's a Freewave 3, Days B4 III, and Watch My Back supremacist!
