I’m looking for an (ideally) 2.5 - 3.5 room apartment in Luzern city and surroundings. Apartment search has been a disaster so far.

Is anyone here renting an apartment, or knows of somebody who does? If not, I would be very grateful for any advice you may have!

Hi, my name is Alex - I am from the EU and traveling to Switzerland for vacation on 21-30 August. I will be in Italy and Switzerland - Dolomites. I am currently looking for an accommodation (shared room or a room in a student dorm or something similar is totally fine) for the whole of September. My current rent contract is expiring at the end of August and I need a place to stay for the last month of my internship.

I am also open to solutions in Zug or Zürich cantons (I work in Zug canton) and I have a budget of around 1000 CHF all included.

Do you have any recommendations? On WG Zimmer, Flatfox and similar I did not find any room for just one month.

I am no longer a student, so I do not have the right for specific student rooms or apartments in many cases.

Any ideas or hints would be highly appreciated.

Hi everyone!

I have been living in Luzern for some months now and I noticed quite different restaurants in the city centre.

However, I have not tried any restaurant yet, since I am scared of getting scammed.

Apart from the ones for tourists, I was wondering if in the city (not just in the centre) there are any restaurants with a good quality/price ratio.

I do not have a very very limited budget, but would like to enjoy a meal without paying CHF 70-80 per person.

I noticed some Asian restaurants behind the train station, on the road to reach the bus station, but not sure of the quality and the price.

Are there any places you would recommend? I am open to trying new things and ethnic cuisine for sure.

Is there any pizza restaurant you would recommend? Also for a take away or delivery.

Weiss jemensch wo ich noch sonnenfinsternisbrillen erhalten kann in luzern?

Aufgrund der neuen Berechnungsmethode des massgebenden Einkommens erhalten wir für unsere beiden Kinder keine Kita-Betreuungsgutscheine mehr. Während wir im vergangenen Jahr monatlich ca. 1000.- CHF erhalten haben, liegen wir jetzt mit dem massgebenden Einkommen über der Grenze von 120'000.- CHF. Ich hatte bei der Abstimmung zwar befürchtet, dass es für uns weniger geben könnte, dass es nun aber gar keine Unterstützung mehr gibt, tut weh. Geht es anderen Familien ähnlich?

Hey. I'm confused. I visit luzern every year. using that I'm 17 this year i wanted to grab some beer. and I'm confused. I had no problem buying it last year at stores in the city Luzern, showing my at the time 16 year old polish ID. Today i tried grabbing some beer, this time in Malters, at coop, and the cashier said i need to be 18, and that it's been like that for years. Same thing in a avec in Wolhusen. I'm confused. what's the actual beer/wine sell age in here? everywhere i look they say it's 16?
