Dinan Lowering Springs

Just ordered the Dinan lowering springs along with the ride dampening kit for my 2020. Was curious if anyone had experience with this kit? How does it feel vs stock? Is there a noticeable difference? Also I am running a 235/40/19 x 265/35/19 staggered setup and am wondering if I might experience any rubbing?

Aftermarket Exhaust advice

So I currently have a 2024 M340i RWD. I don’t have the MPE but was wanting to get the car louder/really hear the beauty of the engine. I do plan on getting a catted DP down the line but for my exhaust mod I was debating between couple of options.

One was to go buy MPE as I’ve heard great things but primarily it’s from the 2020 M340i owners.

The other options were either Dinan or AWE if so anyone have advice which is better between the two?

If there’s other brands or pipes to look into feel free to suggest down below!

Ali B exhaust installed.

I finally got my Alibaba exhaust installed. I am very happy with the end result the shop had to cut one of the aftermarket parts and do an adjustment but in the end it worked out. Got the remote paired the vowel’s opening clothes although I keep the valves open pretty much all the time. This is on the 2025 LCI2. I paid around $600 for the exhaust about $200 in shipping the shop I took it to was local to me and they were on high-end cars for the most part and the labor was about a grand actually 800. I got quoted 600 but then they had to do more work like cutting that one piece. Technician suggested getting a downpipe if I wanted even more sound, looking into the active auto Works downpipe. If anyone has any other suggestions, please leave a comment below.

Do you lease or own your M340i, and why?

I ordered a 2026 Dravit Gray M340i, which I got down to $63.5k after incentive. Still in the dreaded “ready for transport” stage (hence not having a real pic), but it’s given me some time to think before I sign

I spoke with my accountant, and through business usage I can write off over half of the lease payments, which brings my monthly cost down. I’ve leased all my cars in the past, partially because I like swapping cars and I liked the maintenance benefits.

For this lease, it’d be about $800 a month, but with multiple security deposits I can get it to $750. 39mo/10k mi, $0 down besides reg fees/taxes

But the more I think about this car… I realize I might want to keep it, especially since I’m factory ordering it. It’s fucking BEAUTIFUL and I hear nothing but good things. I currently drive a 2023 330i, which I love, and I know I’ll like this car. Plus, by owning it, I can customize it more and not have mileage limits.

I know the B58 is relatively reliable too, but I’d love to hear the perspective of higher mileage owners. Should this be the car I finally commit to and purchase? I’m wondering how everyone on here purchased theirs, and why they chose that

Edit to include build info:
- xDrive
- Dravit Gray/Cognac/Ash Grey Wood
- Shadowline, Premium, M Sport Pro, and Parking Assist packs
- Adaptive M Suspension

Edit 2:
$65,500 purchase price, $63,500 after incentive

Steering issue

Picked up my M340i with only 4900 miles last couple weeks ago and a week ago noticed the alignment of the wheel is off centre. I've had 2 wheel alignments done but the problem still persists. I've had someone look at the suspension and arms of the car and no damage is there which is expected considering how new the vehicle is.

Anyone else had this, know what's going on and how to fix?

Picture shows what the wheel is like when the car goes straight

Good to be back !!

Just picked up a 2020 BMW M340i xDrive and honestly… it feels really good to be back in a BMW.

Over the years I’ve owned an E90 328i, an E36 328i convertible, a WRX, a W204 C63 AMG, and a Lexus IS350 F Sport. The C63 was an amazing car and full of character, but living in Canada I really wanted AWD again. The M340i honestly feels like the perfect middle ground between everything I loved about my previous cars.

Picked it up for $46k CAD + tax with 73,000 km.

What really sold me was the maintenance history:

• 18 service records

• Oil changes basically every 10k km

• Coolant flush done

• Brake fluid flushes done

• Overall extremely well maintained

Options/specs:

• Premium Enhanced Package

• Adaptive suspension

• Vernasca seats

• Brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires

• Came with new winter tires on bmw runs

The B58 hype is honestly real. The car is ridiculously smooth and refined for daily driving, but still pulls insanely hard when you get on it. Feels like one of the best all around daily driver/performance cars you can buy right now.

Happy to finally be back in the BMW family and officially join the G20 club.

Looking to get one

Hello, as the title suggests I am planning to get a m340i myself. I personally like the 2020 - 2022 versions so looking for a used one especially in the budget of 45k. Have been browsing but unable to find enough options online. Went to a few dealerships but they don't even have one in the lot. And all the dealerships I went to, the salespersons were too pushy and wanted me to get a new one either for finance or lease. This is going to be my first time buying a car here in the USA. So, where do I have to look for one? And if I got lucky and found one, what should I look for in them, especially to make sure it's worth 40 grand. Also which year is considered better.

Downpipe 200 or 300 cell?

Looking to change my downpipe on my G21 M340i, concern is 200cell will be more smelly ( its my daily car) . Is 300 or 400 gonna be better ? Downside would be the noise reduction as it filters more

An oil pump replacement success, and some reflection.

Hi all. We have a 2020 M340i xDrive in the family, 3/19 build, super early car! Non-ZTK. For a long time oil measurement would fail unless it was jusssssssstttttt up to temp or cooled up 15 minutes. 0W-20 or 0W-30 didn't matter. Finally had it taken care of a few weeks ago to the tune of an $8600 Geico mechanical breakdown claim ($250 out of pocket!, also needed the transfer case crossmember thing fixed due to a leaking bushing). Never had any warning lights, oil pressure was always great when driving and WOT, but there was sometimes a code for high oil pressure in info memory on BimmerLink.

Before we took it in, I decided to really look into what was happening. You could actually see what was causing the oil measurement to fail, the oil pressure being all over the place. Oil pressure MUST stay around 44-45 psi average during the measurement or it will fail. Now on the new oil pump, regardless of oil temp (0W-20 at first, I just changed back to 0W-30), it does, and succeeds. Prior to this, it would hover around 44 psi when just up to temp, and jump around to 47-48 psi when hot! As you know, oil pressure goes down as heat goes up, as oil thins out, yet clearly the opposite was happening here. I've seen pictures of the internals all damaged and cracks and in pieces, scary stuff, I suspect that piece that fails is what regulates oil pressure, feel free to correct me!

Get this taken care of before you get a CEL or lose an engine! Any ZTK package car is safe from this, and anything 2022MY non ZTK or ZTK and onwards apparently. My dealer was super knowledgable and knew exactly what to do, no issues or haggling.
