I know someone lurking on here has the email of someone higher up that works at Maryland Transportation Authority.
It’s time.
I don’t care who it is, doesn’t even need to be MARC person specifically.
Thanks in advance!
I am a bit worried about the MARC running ok with the high heat over the next couple of days. Do any long-time MARCers try to take alternative routes on days of high heat, or do you just chance it? I am debating driving (normally would hate this), or at least driving to the nearest metro station. I feel like even when the metro is not working right, it's not nearly as catastrophic to my commute as when MARC is not working (i.e. stranding me at Union station or elsewhere). I'm curious what others are thinking this week.

Hello! Philly girl here. I have seen MARC trains on our tracks the past few days. We are nowhere near the border, and we are not on Amtrak lines. It almost seems like they are using them as repair/towing cars and SEPTA (our transit agency) thrifted them from MARC… Does anyone have a legit explanation?
Schedules show no service “Independence Day.” July 3 seems to be the federal holiday, so no service on July 4 and maybe R schedule for July 3?
I didn’t see any alerts about the schedule yet. Thanks!
My friend and I have spent years working around the coffee industry and have always enjoyed the idea of creating a business that combines quality coffee with convenience. Recently, we’ve been exploring the possibility of launching a mobile coffee operation designed specifically for MARC train riders throughout the Maryland and Washington region.
Our goal would be to provide commuters with a fast, reliable source of fresh coffee and breakfast items during the morning rush, helping make their daily commute a little easier and more enjoyable.
We’re currently in the early planning stages and are trying to gauge interest from potential customers. If you regularly ride MARC or use park-and-ride facilities near stations, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Would you be interested in purchasing coffee from a mobile vendor conveniently located near your station? What types of drinks, food items, hours of operation, or loyalty programs would make you more likely to stop by? Any feedback would help us better understand commuter needs and determine whether this concept could become a valuable addition to the MARC commuting experience.
I’m going to Sail250 on Saturday. From what I’ve seen online the Camden Line doesn’t run on saturdays. I wanted to take the line in to Baltimore to avoid traffic/ parking. Does anyone know if the line is gonna run for the event or not?
it’s only by five minutes but the last train out of DC now leaves at 10:05 instead of 10:10 but i remember when it used to leave at 10:55 DAILY!!
