Signal issues. Combining 2 trains Into one.
Update: I am actually impressed. Marc got us to our station fifteen minutes later than usual
idc about the logistics of it or why they do it but having to walk the length of an entire train to get to mine and compete with 50+ people to squeeze into one door bc the platform runs off just ruins my entire afternoon

Does anyone know:
A) Why the Brunswick line train (at least the 4:25 one, but I assume it's the same for other trains and lines as well) departs from a different platform every day, and
B) why it's not announced (outside near the platforms) in a way that anyone can actually hear it?
Just about every day I wait just outside the doors to the platform area with everyone else and the only clue that our train is boarding is that everyone suddenly takes off power walking towards the track. Today everybody took off and went to the wrong track lol... Eventually we found it on track A17,
These trains are on the same schedule every day, so wouldn't it make sense to have them arrive/depart from the same track every day? Seems like there are way more tracks than trains at any given time, so you'd think they could go to the same track every time unless there's a delay that throws things off.
They also need a much better public address system in the platform area instead of those old megaphone type speakers that are impossible to hear or understand!

MARC Penn 413 - Cancelled -- Penn Line Train 413 (6:40 dpt Penn) has been cancelled for tomorrow morning's service due to the cancellation of Train 446 this evening. Passengers will be accommodated by Train 415 (7:00 dpt Penn)
Good(?) morning MARC Penn line riders! A post to acknowledge what a mess this morning’s commute was. Multiple trains cancelled and delayed, and everyone piling on to the 517 to try to get to Union Station. I’ve never seen people stuck standing in the vestibule before for lack of space! Made it to work about 50 minutes late. Hope things go up from here for everyone!
Hi all, I've just accepted a new position that will have me commuting via MARC train into DC, and I have a question about the monthly pass usage that I can't seem to get a straight answer for.
I live very close to the Savage station, so I'll typically use the Camden line to get into the city. However, I have a recurring doctor's appointment every Friday morning, and even if I were to schedule it as early as possible, I still wouldn't be able to make the final train before morning service on the Camden line ended. Instead, I would have go to Odenton on the Penn line to get into the city.
The 31 day pass price is the same between both routes (Savage to DC and Odenton to DC), which indicates that they're both in the same zone and transferable, but I can't find anything online to confirm this. Am I right, or would I simply have to purchase a one-way ticket into DC every Friday from Odenton?
Been stuck on the Brunswick line due to these awful storms, now stopped for a downed tree that is apparently big enough to require a special truck that has to come from Hagerstown.
I live far enough away that it's not worth my husband coming to get me. But alas, I am >1 hour past my normal arrival time.
How are you faring? are you also stuck? Commiserate with me!
I have a few tickets stored but I thought i had already used them for my trips 2 years ago???
Seeing that they're not expired and usable, can I just show the QR code when I go on the MARC train or I have to buy new tickets?
every time my train pulls up to the track and i see the barricade by the elevator my heart aches, does anyone know when it’s gonna be fixed?? and why doesn’t the train ever use the G8 track 😭
