First Dub Session with my MC-707, using the send and returns with the Hologram Microcosm to to build ambience and mood.

Hey there,
I have a TR8s hooked up with a MC707. MC707 being master, TR8s being a regular input on a Drum track. the problem is that the TR8s is very silent in comparison to the other tracks, even though I have it all leveled up, no filters etc.. I have to put the gain up to +10 to have it blend into the mix. Is that normal? How does the TR8s behave mixing-wise in combination with other gear with you?
Tips are very much apprechiated...
