Help me decide Aerospace Engineering In METU

I was accepted into METU aerospace engineering program (Although my first preference was Computer Engineering). I really want to accept the offer, but I think choosing aerospace wasn't a good decision because it looks like the job market is very narrow if you are a foreign student. No doubt the program is very intriguing but at the end it comes down to career option and flexibility.
I would appreciate any advice regarding the decision I should take and also clarify if job market really is the problem

METU CEIT

Hey everyone,
I’m a Pakistani student trying to choose between two different academic paths and could use some objective feedback from current students or alumni:
1. METU (Turkey) - CEIT (Computer Education & Instructional Technology)
2. FAST-NUCES (Pakistan) - BS Artificial Intelligence
My current plan if I choose METU is to enter the CEIT department and attempt an internal lateral transfer (bölümler arası yatay geçiş) into Computer Engineering (CENG) after my freshman year. If that does not work out, my backup plan is to stay in CEIT and self-study software development to pivot into the tech sector upon graduation.
For anyone familiar with METU’s internal regulations or the CEIT department:

-How realistic or difficult is it for an international student to successfully transfer from the Faculty of Education (CEIT) to the Faculty of Engineering (CENG)?

-What specific GPA, or course requirements are needed to be competitive for this specific transfer?

-If the transfer fails, how much of a disadvantage is a CEIT degree compared to a pure computing degree (like BS AI at FAST) when applying for mainstream software engineering or AI jobs?

For anyone familiar with FAST-NUCES:
-Given the academic rigor and the job market in Pakistan, is it safer to secure a dedicated AI degree at FAST rather than taking the transfer risk at METU?

I would appreciate any factual information on how the transfer process works or the experiences of students who have tried this path. Thank you if you decide to read through this and reply! I really appreciate it 🙏🏼

I have problem with my mom

I was admitted by a university in Malaysia first, I started my student visa process at that time, after a few time I was admitted by METU. I think METU is better. So I want to go to METU(bachelor). I send all of the expected expense of METU to my mom. Then she said I can only go to Malaysia. I calculated, I need to spend 13500 USD per year in Malaysia. And 10500 USD per year in Turkey. Besides, I am a major in science, and after my research, METU is better than Malaysia( I like theory more, and I want to start to read phD directly after bachelor).

I think objectively, the only thing Malaysia better is closer to home, but if we think deeper, we can use the money that the Turkey cheaper than Malaysia to cover the cost of plane ticket the Turkey expensiver than Malaysia.
And another reason I think my mom may think is I have already paid the money of the visa process of Malaysia. But even though Turkey is cheaper.

I think my mom can not think deeply and reasonably, also her mood state is unstable, so it is so suffering to communicate with my mom, and always make me unhappy. And this problem have bad impact on my study efficiency.

What should I do guys?

Turkish Student Visa for METU/ODTU

Hi, I'm applying for a student visa for my bachelor's at METU (Ankara) from Pakistan. I have a few questions:

- How much should I expect to spend living in Ankara per year if I opt for on-campus dorms?

- How much should my sponsor's closing balance be?

- How long would the visa process take? I just got my offer letter and classes commence in late September.

- Are there any other costs I should be aware of, other than the visa processing fee, air fare, tuition, dorms, and meals?

If there is anyone else from Pakistan applying to or currently studying in Turkiye, please DM me - I could use all the info I can get.

Also, I've heard that Turks are racist to Pakistanis in Turkey. How true is that and should I be worried?
