This thing is my worst freaking nightmare as a insect glaive user. It moves around a crap ton, it can hit me from halfway across an arena, it has that gods forsaken stench attack, AND paralysis. And somehow whenever I vault over it it STILL SOMEHOW HITS ME LIKE DUDE. CHILL OUT.
I know i have a lot in some weapons but a friend told me a need to use ALL the weapons i just recently started using DB and CB i use the others weapons when im bored of GS so im not that good and my friend told me i need to use More weapons to play online since i dont play It much im ok or should try More weapons first? I want to try the bug stick next (sorry if i have any tipos inglish Is my second language and im tryng to learn)
I have about 120 hours in the game and im hr 32 right, ive soloed every monster thus far but i still always have join request on because id love to play with people, but its a once a month occurrence. When i try to find others myself still no dice
Is everyone just on sunbreak at this point or what?😂or is it just a dry there

I've been wondering if I should stop using greatsword and use dual blades more. While I like doing big damage with TCS, greatsword is getting boring and I've been wanting to try dual blades. I just don't know if dual blades are better than greatsword. They also look better than greatsword, and yes, I have adhd so some might say I'm built for dual blades.
What could be the reason for my Monster Hunter: Rise to crash as soon as I open it? game opens but after 3 seconds, a new window will pop up saying game crash and is making a crash report.

Yes, Primordial Malzeno with qurio is absolutely amazing. It plays great with Rise's overall speed and seeing it get corrupted mid fight is a perfect way to connect story to gameplay.
But imo, Primordial doesn't need the qurio to be fun. There is already enough in the concept by itself to justify a standalone fight. No other elders (or really any other monster in general) has the sword + shield wing combo it has. And because it would be an elementless, projectileless elder, it would provide a unique close quarters combat experience compared to everything else. It needs to be near you, but it has longer range, so melee weapons would have to close the distance while ranged weapons have to maintain their distance.
Moveset wise, it could take all of the non-qurio based regular Malzeno attacks (like the aerial tail stab and ground shockwave) and also be given some new stuff. I'd love to see it make greater use of the shield part of its wings and the pronged tail for grabbing things. Add on a normal enraged state and you pretty much have an elder dragon fight ready to go.
Admittedly, the skills of its armor set and the overall power of its weapons would need to be reworked, seeing as it's no longer inheriting the vampire aspects from regular Malzeno, nor will it be the power crept final monster of an expansion. I could see the armor skills being replaced with a combo of guard and damage. Basically the stuff Lance and SnS like to use. And maybe there's a set bonus/unique armor skill that has something to do with fighting the monster head on. Like you stay in constantly close proximity to it and receive a powerful buff of some kind. Lance would be amazing with such a skill.
So yeah, that's my take on the matter. Even though the qurio are excellently used within Primordial Malzeno's fight, I don't think they are wholely necessary to it. Without qurio, it would be easier to include in later games both lore-wise and gameplay-wise. (Cause teleporting and speed blitzing wouldn't be so fun outside of Rise) And all it would need is a few new moves, a normal enraged state, and some tweeks to its equipment.
I won't deny that the qurio benefit it a lot, but it has enough substance to stand on its own and still be a fun and engaging monster.

hey guys, first MH game, my playthrough is going smoothly, it’s just that in mainly hunting monstres and not doing any side quests. i just unlocked the high rank and i was wondering if i missed any quest that would ublock smn important
Obvious question but I played World for 50 hours, Wilds for… 400-500hours+/- (across PS5 and Steam) and only played Rise a bit before. Now after I have nearly every armor in Wilds, I figured I should play Rise and World properly and wait for the Wilds DLC as I did a lot of things there. Initially, I did not understand how complex the fighting could be and I tried to play GL just like Wilds. When I noticed my usual combo doesn‘t exist, I tried to understand GL without any guides. A few hours later, I just act like Bakugo from Boku no Hero Academia and probably won‘t be super efficient DPS-wise due to always launching upwards and flying through the air but this is SO much fun. I wish I had understood how much fun even base Rise can be before playing Wilds. I‘m currently at the 5* Hub quests and I feel like I will play this game for quite some time if I want all achievements :D
Any general game tips? And when should/will I go to Sunbreak?
I'm trying out bombing for the first time in this game and wondered if there is a more efficient method to get consistent bomb counters or does such a thing not exist and I just have to practice and git gud?

Almost certain they were cheating lol. They soloed Hazard Primezeno in like 5 mins while I watched (MR10), then walked off into the sunset.
Hey guys haven't touch a monster hunter game in years and I wanted to get back in rise but there are SO many mechanics that i forgot and right now every missions feels like the bosses are sponges. It takes way too long for me to kill them and i know i'm not playing optimally. My save file is like halfway through sunbreak. I was thinking of maybe restarting a new character BUT i remember that the game is VERY grindy and that may not be the best approach. Any tips on how I should proceed? On my character in sunbreak it just feels very overwhelming, I have so many options, I'm not sure how to resume where I left off.
