Those who have bought Tears of Joy vinyl, is it worth it?

Dont get me wrong having my favorite mike album on vinyl would be amazing, but $140 is a lot. Is it also like a collectors item (for lack of a better word) in a way? Also how big of a pain in the ass is it to listen to 6, 7in records?

MIKE-inspired mixtape from Thailand.

MIKE & dj blackpower’s music completely changed how I think about sampling and hip-hop. I just dropped my first mixtape, and even though mixtapes aren’t really a thing here, I wanted to share it with the people who introduced me to this sound.

If you check it out, thank you. Either way, I’m grateful this music made it all the way over here.

All the loveee

Pompeii/utility adlib/prod. tag apppreciation

Idk why but I js really really love all the adlibs/producer tags on this album. I really love flea diamond’s tag and even tho Harrison’s is literally an iPhone charging sound it’s js perfect. The “what’s this?” sound bite scattered among most of the Earl tracks is so hard and manages to be a highlight of songs like Home on the Range and the end of Hot Water. Even just the clip of a dude js yelling “fuck” is soo tuff idek

This album is probably my most revisited for the whole year and so many aspects of it grew on me like crazy, especially these adlibs and prod tags. Interested to see how yall feel and if u appreciate them to the same level as me

Bro I hate when this happens

Someone tryna be on MIKE's discog through YT Music, releasing a song called Obsessed. I don't think MIKE would release a song with that title anyway 🤔

Does anyone know any shows in England similar to Mike?

I just moved here from France and so far I’ve seen Tony Bontana and Jada live, and both were fire 🔥. But I keep missing all the smaller shows 😅✌🏻I’d love to see 32 (32Burden) or Pretty V live. Does anyone know where they usually promote their shows or announce upcoming gigs? I’m guessing after Friday, 32 might have a few shows coming up, but I’m honestly clueless and need some help.

Also, if anyone’s into this scene and wants someone to go to shows with, hit me up! Always down to make some friends 🤝
