MS-02 Ultra PSU Fan noise

For those who dont like PSU fan noise - it is pretty straightforward replaceable by Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX, it even have 2pin adapter included.

BUT you need to swap pins on 2pin noctua adapter!! psu fan have reversed polarity.

With this 15€ mod, device become absolutely silent.

ps: to remove psu, you need to remove motherboard, to access L shaped bracket holding psu. but afterwards you can attach psu without it, stays in place good enough.

BD895i SE best CPU fan available?

Hiya, I have recently built a system around the BD895i motherboard paired with a 7090XT and 32gb ram.

Really good performance but my 120mm fan on the large heatsink can get noisy under load, at the moment it's a Thermalright TL-C12 and wanted to know what's everyone's preference? I have seen a Noctua 120mm I fancied but it only spins at 1700rpm and don't know if that would work? I would have loved to use AIO watercooling but the holes are an odd space size and I'd also loose the VRM cooling.

My temps sit between 80-85c under load at the moment, thanks 🙏

Need help with M2 connector on 790s7

Here is the photo. How to properly disconnect it to add one more ssd? Pulling it or rotating didnt't help, pulling with more force will certainly damage the MB. Tried so much times that already scretched some smd components with nails, hope it still works.

Please, don't answer with generic "advices" if you don't have experience with this specific mini-pc. These connectors are different!

MINISFORUM X1 Lite-255 (Ryzen 7 255) — No POST with 64GB (2×32GB) RAM — anyone else?

Hey all, ran into this after upgrading RAM on my X1 Lite-255 and wanted to check if anyone's hit the same thing.

Original (works fine): 2× Crucial CT16G56C46S5.M8D1 — 16GB DDR5-5600, CL46, 1.1V, single-rank. Total 32GB, fully stable at 5600 MT/s.

New (fails): 2× Crucial CT32G56C46S5.C16FPD — 32GB DDR5-5600, CL46, 1.1V, dual-rank. Same brand/line/speed/voltage/CAS as the working kit.

Results:

  • 2×16GB → boots normally, stable
  • 1×32GB alone → video works, but Windows loops at "Preparing Automatic Repair"
  • 2×32GB → no video output at all, no POST

Already tried: latest BIOS, CMOS clear, 10+ min wait for memory training, reseating modules — no change in any case.

The only difference I can find is rank: the 16GB modules are single-rank, the 32GB ones are dual-rank. Wondering if the board just doesn't handle dual-rank SODIMMs well.

Has anyone gotten 64GB working on this machine, or hit the same issue? What kit ended up working for you?

BIOS updates for AMD TPM vulnerabilities ?

So AMD has announced there are 2 vulnerabilities regarding the on-chip TPM modules, CVE-2026-6726 and CVE-2026-6727 in their security bulletin n° 7064 with a high severity score of 8.5 and 8.3 respectively.

Will Minisforum address this by rolling out a BIOS update for all affected products ?

In practice this would just imply refreshing the AGAESA code within the BIOS to the latest version, which would also bring a few other (performance/security) improvements depending on the model/chip/platform.

I really want to get one of the Minisforum mini PCs but what I've heard about the brand worries me

I was planning on getting the Minisforum MS-A2 with either the Ryzen 7 7745HX or Ryzen 9 8945HX for around $450 - $600 barebones and then I'd add my own RAM, SSD and OS, then buy the DEG1 eGPU dock, a PSU and a GPU to have a gaming setup. Locally I don't have any decent laptop options, nor any prebuilt desktop options or parts and the only way I can do that is online but most don't ship to where I live and the total fees for shipping and import is expensive especially if it's individual PC parts rather than one single unit, I was going to buy a gaming laptop but really there was a lot of shipping and import fees too and then the specs weren't that great in the end. This is definitely going to be more expensive but I think it could be worth it especially if I get the Ryzen 9 8945HX but the cost of the machine randomly dying 3 months later is too big of a risk and too much of an investment for me. lol I've been back and forth thinking about which laptop, desktop, specific model, mini PC etc to buy over 4 years before I got a job and here I am and nothing really, Would appreciate any feedback

NZXT H2 Flow Case

MINISFORUM BD895i SE, AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX,16C/32T

Barrow SPD10-T 10W PWM Pump Reservoir

This thing is super quiet thanks to the custom loop. At 120w boost 100w sustained the CPU sits around 71c running cinebench R23, scores a little over 25k.

I flashed my 9070 with the XT VBIOS to increase the power limit to 374w, with the fans idle it only reaches around 54c.

For fun I wanted to see how far I could push the 9070 so did some testing:

DOA - G7 Pro AtomMan

Title says it all, just arrived today. Plugged into wall, hooked up hdmi to tv, usb keyboard, usb mouse dongle, and ethernet. Turned it on, the only thing that lit up was the led lights in the front, the fans also were on. No keyboard light up, no mouse light up and no signal on TV. Let it sit for over 30 minutes still nothing, power cycled it with the same results. Trying to unplug and re plug all devices but nothing works. I assume this unit is DOA. Guess I won't make the mistake of shopping here again. Have a ticket in to support, anyone have this issue with this company?

When can we see new BIOS updates fixing these on AMD systems? AMD has released info to manufactures months ago so they could prepare fixes before AMD makes it public. It is now public.

Avoid this company

Bought a N5 Pro, received and no hdmi video output at all.

Contacted support, they were very fast with the first 2 emails, then I processed to do all the test they asked me, provided my feedback and results via mail and boom, support disappeared totally (6 days now).

So for a DOA product I already lost almost 2 weeks.

Will proceed with a refund from Amazon (I bought from minisforum official on Amazon in Europe) and will buy another product from a more serious company. Total shame on minisforum

New mod egpu

The previous setup had the ag02 but it overheated with the 5070 ti, so I bought a minisforum deg1 and added intake fans; the power supply is a 750w Corsair
