I’m thinking about adding some supporting characters in my comics so I came up with some designs (I will ask for a name for another design tomorrow). Today is this stallion who looks like a koi fish (idk I might change it but I thought it would be cute)

A brief summary: This is an Earth pony who is really good at predicting the weather. Additionally, he’s also a weatherman-type of pony. He has a quirky sense of style to go with his rather eccentric but cheerful personality.

Trixie is commonly depicted in fanworks as being pretty lazy, however in the actual show the only action from her which could be described as lazy is her falling asleep while trying to teach a history class (which is not really laziness, more like boredom towards a subject she doesn't care about)

In the rest of the show she's consistently shown to actually work pretty hard when it comes to the things she cares about, like her shows, her magic lessons with Starlight or even just doing nice things for her friends (like in Uncommon Bond and Student Counsel)

Based on a digital art drawing of Pinkie Pie on Deviantart, I sketched this pencil on paper drawing years ago.

I found it a few weeks ago in an art folder of mine and decided it was time I finished what I started. So I added a few more of the missing details, and painted it with coloured pencils.

I really loved the original painting on Deviantart, and reached out to the owner of the original artwork for permission to share my paper on sketch version.

After getting their permission, here is my sketch drawing of Princess Pinkie Pie.

I finally have another comic out! Hope you like it :) this one is about how Silver Tongue got his cutie mark. You could say he had a phase as a teenager, haha.

Hello all. I'm looking for any sort of feedback on why my art doesn't quite look right. The main problem that I face is that, well, I can't seem to pin down what the problem is. I just have this instinctual feeling of looking at my art and knowing it's not how I want it to be.

This isn't helped by looking at others' art, unfortunately. Whenever I do, I just feel even more inept than I already do, and I feel like tracing or referencing other art is cheating/inauthentic.

Below is my derpibooru page with most digital art that I've done - for reference, I started at the beginning of the year doing sketchbook work, as that was all I had and I felt it was a good way to learn how to draw with no real art experience.

If you have any feedback or thoughts as to why my art looks the way it does (or how I can improve in any capacity), it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is Melrose Apple, and yes he's part of the apple family. However his passion doesn't lie in farming, but rather in fashion and design.

He and his side of the family are currently estranged from the rest of the apple family because his mom married a none earth pony and had two Unicorn kids and one Pegasus. (Me and my friend decided to go this rout because there is one episode where they take a family picture and there is an animation error where some unicorn fillies lose their horn after the family foto is taken so we decide to headcannon that mistake as the Applefamily editing the picture to remove the horns and wings from non earth ponies in the family pictures)

He was very young when his mom/grandparents decided to go non contact with the family over this, so he doesn't remember or even know how big his family actually is (his parents, grandparents and older siblings refuse to tell him to protect him). Maybe somewhere later down his story he can find out and try to reunite the family together.

Helloooo, I’m a former artist (but still consider myself an artist), and basically my lil “hiatus” turned into a 7 year thingy where I’ve been meaning to make art but feel weird about it. Idk, it’s weird wanting to do it all the time and then constantly shying away from it, so I guess I’m starting out with this to hopefully get back into the swing of things and renew my love for it. I’m saving up for an art tablet right now, and I’m excited to get back into digital art to mess around and draw some cute lil ponies. I have so many ideas, I just hope I stick to it and stay consistent:) I think the tablet will help with some motivation! Anyway, these are some character concepts right now!

Forcing a pony sona upon my fiancée so I can draw cute gay art of our pony’s together but im struggling with a name.

Sorry for the strange format, I'm on mobile! I basically created a rough idea of a fan-made generation which stars Minty as the protagonist. Aside from friendship, it includes topics like finding one's own purpose and meaning of life. I don't really have a whole world-building and plot fleshed out; just the core personalities of the mane six (MBTI included). The cast includes recurring yet redesigned characters from previous generations.

Setting: After feeling lost and drained from the city life, Minty gets invited by Pinkie Pie, her childhood friend, to live with her in a bakery, at a cozy yet unknown town named Ponyville. They just so happen to be in need of a Holiday & Festivities Coordinator, and Pinkie Pie thinks that Minty is just the pony for the job.

The mane six:

• Minty (ESFJ): Minty is an earth pony and the protagonist of the story. Despite being very clumsy and accidentally chaotic most of the time, she is surprisingly resourceful and coordinated. Although she finds herself in silly predicaments most of the time, she generally tries her best in everything. Minty, as a pony who deeply values holidays and tradition, is passionate about bringing the community together. Additionally, she has a quirky obsession with both the color green and socks.

• Pinkie Pie (ENFP): Pinkie Pie is a pegasus and the party planner of Ponyville. She is known to be very a cheerful and spontaneous pony who loves spreading joy. She also works at Sugarcube Corner as a baker, alongside her childhood friend, Minty. Other core abilities include her signature Pinkie Sense and the ability to break the forth wall.

• Zipp Storm (ISTP): Zipp Storm is a pegasus who works as an Aerial Patrol Officer in Ponyville. Despite her tough act, she is deeply caring and protective towards the town and its residents. She also has a knack for investigating and solving mysteries. Zipp, however, holds a secret almost no one in Ponyville knows about; she is actually a runaway royal known as "Princess Zephyrina." Pressured by the expections of fulfilling royal duties, she ran away without any opportunity for closure.

• Moon Dancer (INFP): Moon Dancer is a unicorn and an observational astronomer. She resides in the "Observatory" and lives off from her published works. Despite her scholar background, Moon Dancer is also, above all, a dreamer. She treasures legends, old astronomical records, and mysteries of both the world and universe. Her hobbies include mapping out constellations, tarot card reading, and poetry. Moon Dancer also ocassionally wears glasses for reading and a dark sweater.

• Applejack (ESTJ): Applejack is an earth pony who resides in Sweet Apple Acres farm alongside with her family. She is very diligent and hardworking in the farm; friends and family know they can always rely on her in times of need. Above all, Applejack deeply values honesty. Applejack also possesses high physical stamina and raw strength, often using her skills around the farm. She has a signature cowboy hat and southern accent.

• Morning Glory (INFJ): Morning Glory is a unicorn and the reputable florist of Ponyville. She resides at an isolated cottage near the borders of the Everfree Forest. In her cottage, she grows a great variety of flowers, which she eventually sells in the market place of Ponyville. Despite not being the most talkative pony, she is deeply sentimental and caring. She strives to not only understand all kinds of plants, but all living beings in existence. Morning Glory also enjoys in learning and teaching about symbolism in flowers.

Highlighted qualities:

Minty: Community, tradition, harmony

Pinkie Pie: Joy, spontaneity, celebration

Morning Glory: Empathy, insight, understanding

Zipp Storm: Independence, loyalty, protection

Applejack: Responsibility, honesty, discipline

Moon Dancer: Dreams, wonder, knowledge
