Possible Paid Intern Position — Recent CS/IT Graduate — Twin Cities North Metro
Location: On-site, north of the I-394 corridor (Twin Cities metro)
Commute note: this is a daily on-site role. If you do not live in the north or northwest metro, the commute will be significant. Plan accordingly before applying.
About the Role
We may be bringing on one or two recent CS/IT graduates to join a small team building modernization tools for a long-running enterprise database system. The work involves heavy AI-assisted development under an established methodology. You will be conducting AI to produce real, production-quality output, not writing code in the traditional sense.
You will be a strong fit if:
- You are a self-directed worker who can operate with frequent directives and clear deliverables, but minimal hand-holding
- Your CS/IT coursework or hands-on experience emphasized any of:
- Database systems (relational theory, query optimization, schema design)
- Compilers, language theory, or interpreters
- Distributed systems
- Operating systems or systems programming
- Containers (Docker), virtualization (VMware, ESXi), or VPS administration
- Networking and infrastructure
- You are comfortable in terminals and command lines
- You have done significant work in C, C#, Java, Python, Go, or SQL (any of these signals the right kind of training)
- You are interested in AI as a working tool, not as a research subject
You may not be a fit if:
- Your primary identity is "React developer," "full-stack developer," or "JavaScript framework specialist"
- You prefer working inside an established framework rather than building infrastructure
- You need constant collaboration and immediate feedback to make progress
Engagement
- Possible paid intern position — gauging interest now, hiring decision pending
- If a hire is made, the engagement runs until the project owner's quality standards are met, with strong potential to convert based on fit and progression
- Compensation discussed at interview
- We are NOT promising a response timeline; we are building a candidate list
