Want 25 lpa + placements and good clg life and good infrastructure
Hello Seniors,
I wrote JEE this year and according to my rank (19XXX) I can get Mechanical Engineering at MNNIT. Although I am more passionate about branches like CSE but i will not get those branches in any of good NITs or IIITs. I have heard that many non-CS students can also learn Coding etc in College where coding culture is strong and be successful in the field.
Can anyone share a realistic review about:
1)Coding culture & HACKATHONS.
2)Has Anyone from a non-CS background successfully learned Coding through these coding clubs and all?
3)How difficult it would be to manage the curriculum of Mech along with coding?
4)Do non-CS students actually get tech jobs and do tech companies allow them to apply?
5)How is the Campus Life and Infrastructure?
Would really appreciate honest insights from students or alumni.
Thankyou!
Like getting cgpa is easier ... And chill proffs who don't run behind my life...
So I can focus on other things
Branch that I can choose, and then focus on higher studies like cat or gate in tech related field, or core or, whatever I feel ike
Also I their branchism?? Like lower branches treated differently?? Like superiority among others..
Also how is college life
Ragging?
Please tell which one to select, I am getting both, some were saying IIIT placements not much reliable here, and NIT tag matters while others said that IIITA has better placement numbers, peer group and stronger coding culture?
CRL: 73XX
I checked the placement rate is 66 percent and median package is 9 lakhs too with highest package of 21 lacks. So is it worth it? Or else I am getting Ceramic at NIT Rourkela or Tier 2 Civil Mech branches ??"
I have got 97%ile in JEE Mains and belong to obc-ncl (female) category, UP HS. Previous year trends show I may be get Mechanical in MNNIT in 4th-5th round. Shall I consider it an option or move on for a drop as in advanced just getting 80 per se.
Hey guys,
Huge thanks to the MNNIT mods for letting me post this.
I wanted to share a new sub a few of us just set up to fix a massive local headache: r/AllahabadBazaar.
Right now, if you want to get rid of old semester textbooks, cycles, lab coats, room coolers, or random hostel gym gear before graduating or if you are looking for a decent PG/flatmate outside campus it is a total pain. The main city subs get super cluttered, and platforms like OLX or random Facebook groups are just full of sketchy scammers and annoying brokers.
We created r/AllahabadBazaar to keep things clean, strictly peer-to-peer, and actually safe for students.
🛡️ What we are doing differently:
Clean Filters: Separate tags for [WTS] Want to Sell, [WTB] Want to Buy, Accommodation/PG, and Books & Study Material so you can find stuff instantly without scrolling through endless spam.
Anti-Scam Check: For high-value stuff, we require a handwritten note with your username and date in the photo so random fake profiles cannot scam anyone.
No Broker B.S.: Strictly student-to-student and local-to-local so nobody is paying random commissions.
The main r/Allahabad mod team is already backing us to help clean up the city feed. Whether you have some old modules/books to clear out of your room, want to sell your hostel setup, or just want to keep an eye out for cheap local deals, join the sub and drop a post!
Let’s build a solid, safe marketplace for the student community here.

I’m considering joining Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad and wanted honest opinions, especially from students or alumni.
Recently I came across news about:
i just want to know
I’m not trying to spread negativity — just looking for realistic experiences before making a decision. Honest answers from current students/alumni would really help.

Hey everyone, I need some serious advice regarding my M.Tech choices through CCMT. I am currently confused between these options:
My Dilemma & Senior Insights:
I recently spoke to a senior at MNNIT Allahabad, and they brought up a very critical point regarding batch size and competition.
Questions for seniors/alumni:
Would love to hear your perspectives, especially from current M.Tech students or recent alumni from these campuses. Thanks
