Hi everyone, I’m preparing for UPSC and **MPSC 2027** and currently don’t have much of a peer network for competitive exams.

I’m a **Group A officer in the Central Government** with a regular 10–5 job. My job is chill and flexible. I’m planning to seriously prepare for MPSC alongside my job.

I appeared for **MPSC 2026 Prelims first time without study after a \~2-year gap in UPSC preparation** and missed the cutoff by around **10 marks**. I have previously prepared for UPSC and covered most standard GS sources (Spectrum, Geography/PMF, Polity, etc.), but I need to work significantly on **revision/retention, MPSC-specific factual content and Maharashtra-specific preparation**.

I’m confused between study room :-
**Near my home :** study room 5 minutes from home, very convenient and saves \~80 minutes of daily travel.

**Sadashiv Peth, Pune :** much larger study environment with many UPSC/MPSC aspirants, potentially better for peer interaction, guidance and discussions, but around 40 minutes each way, total 80 minutes.

Since I feel I could benefit from some **peer support and competitive environment**, is Sadashiv Peth actually worth the additional travel, or would near home will be better for focused self-study?

Would especially appreciate opinions from **MPSC/UPSC aspirants currently studying** , particularly about whether the peer environment is genuinely useful.

Hello I am 30/F, married and no kids. I have exhausted all (6) attempts at Upsc and have written Mains twice with quite decent marks in essay (110+) and ethics. I also have an architecture degree which I had planned to get back to incase things don't work out. I know I would have to start at entry level with modest pay.

But there are 2 things which are refraining me from going all in for my backup plan - first not much interested in working in architecture anymore and second I want to be absolutely sure with my choice now because whatever I pick up will be the thing I would be doing for the next 30 years. Devoting 2 years for a master's now is not much feasible because of my family situation and age.

Mpsc does feel a little doable given my background but self-doubt and anxiety kicks in. Any suggestions on what can be a good path ahead?

I’m planning to appear for the MPSC Combined 2027 exam and want to start my preparation from scratch.

I’m from an English-medium background, so I’m confused about which classes, books and study material to follow. I’ve looked at YouTube and online options like PW’s bilingual course, but I’m not sure whether bilingual classes would work well for me.

For those who are preparing/ have prepared for MPSC, especially English-medium aspirants:

1. How did you start your preparation?

2. Which classes/books/resources would you recommend?

3)Is bilingual coaching (Marathi + English) manageable for an English-medium student? (They are also providing study material in english)
