Hey everyone, I’ve recently found out about MTAPD and I’m curious what opportunities there are? Are there any specialized units and is there anything I can do before applying to help me move up in the job early, like specific certifications?
Is the academy still in NYPD academy or does MTA have their own now?
Still waiting on email regarding the next steps for this process. Took October physical then November panel. I got the email saying I passed the panel but nothing else. Anybody else in the same boat?
I just graduated and got my license to practice nursing . I know that MTA and Nurses have a similar work schedule . I wanted to know when is the next opening MTAPD exam and how do I go about applying for it ?
Got the PT email. Is it worth going from fed LE to MTA PD? Current schedule of three 12 hour shifts and four 12 hour shifts the next week. Already vested into the fed retirement.
Good day everyone. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows when the new contract will take place and if there is supposed to be a pay raise. Currently NYPD and I’m looking to switch however the pay is the thing that’s holding me back right now. The starting pay isn’t as good and top pay is takes a while
I got an email that my physical will be sometime in October. However, Ik MTAPD is more strict than NYPD. My license is suspended cause of one speeding ticket I received in 2021. I was going 39 in a 25 and it was a junior/probationary license issued to me when I was 17, and the is the only moving violation I received. Does this kill my chances for the MTAPD? Are they really that strict?
