MENism - the ancient philosophy of a civilization almost lost to Time

What began as an impossible archaeological discovery in a remote and highly improbable location evolved into one of the strangest translation projects ever undertaken.

Hidden for years from the public, a collection of ancient clay tablets, stone carvings and sealed ceramic containers revealed fragments of a previously unknown civilization whose worldview appears both profoundly absurd and disturbingly familiar.

The following documentary presents reconstructed excerpts from those translated writings — texts attributed to an unidentified narrator describing the rise, philosophy and contradictions of what researchers would later call:

The MENist Civilization
(Macrobiotic Existential Necrofagism)

A society built around:

ritualized non-thinking,
fermented barley beverages,
lupins,
existential philosophy,
bureaucratic absurdity,
and an obsessive need to prove that peas were truly dead before consumption.

Although initially dismissed by some scholars as satire, the consistency of the findings across multiple artifacts forced researchers to reconsider the possibility that the MENists were not merely mythical… but real.

This film combines:

archaeological reconstruction,
historical reenactment,
speculative anthropology,
translated excerpts,
and recovered symbolic imagery from the MENist archives.

Viewer discretion is advised for:

disturbing levels of academic seriousness,
existential confusion,
and references to primitive dwarf-throwing competitions.

“Thou shalt not think.”
