Mac Miller themed Grad Cap after ILLTY

Mac Miller themed Grad Cap after ILLTY

i wanted to do a themed grad cap after mac miller, but i couldn’t think of really all that many. even though it would be themed after mac, i still wanted something that incorporated graduation.. thought about doing KIDS but js didn’t feel right. so i made a design on photoshop using my name instead and cut it all out, made a border, cleaned it up, and got this !

if yinz got any recommendations, lmk :))
*graduation is tomorrow though so will need to read them fast lol

Within 12 months I had over 40,000 minutes listening to Mac. There’s something about it that just freaks me out

I’ve only dived into his discography and got really into his music back in September 2024 but ever since I’ve just never gotten bored of his music. To this day I still listen to his music a lot on the daily and it just kinda makes me wonder like why this is the case. I’ve talked to my friends about it and they think i’m obsessed with him which I don’t blame them but I don’t really like thinking that I am. Dude genuinely just made good music and has covered a a variety of genres but it’s not like I’m always talking about him yk? Idk where i’m really going with this post lol I just kinda wanted to get this out of my head. I just wonder if this is really normal

I can’t figure out why I think this is a Mac Miller Song / Sample

So I was listening to music with a friend and he played “Sleep Forever” by Portugal, The Man. And I stopped halfway and told him oh you’d like this one Mac Miller song because I was thinking he may have sampled it. But now I am digging and looking through my old music and I cannot scratch this itch. The part where it says “I just want to sleep forever, Never see tomorrow, Or lead or follow” is the part that made me think of an old song from Mac Miller’s catalog.

Not sure if i’m thinking of a different artist or song that has maybe sampled, but just thought i’d throw it out there. Thanks!

Ariana Grande references Mac’s sound in new single

Ariana Grande just released the 10th anniversary edition of her Dangerous Woman album; she was with Mac for the entirety of its recording, release and tour of (many photos you may have seen of them were from this time). At 1:38-1:48 of the bonus track, you can hear her reference his upbeat lyrical style (reminiscent of his verses in Dang! and etc.). Of course, Mac was so much more than this relationship, but at this point I celebrate any way that people keep him alive, especially through his favorite medium 💙

I wish i was a fan earlier.

I had just started listening to mac seriously about 2 months ago. Before that, the only songs i had ever known of his was donald trump and frick park market. I had stumbled upon his music recently on spotify while songs were playing in random. It was "the spins" that i heard. And i loved it. After listening to that song multiple times, i thought of listening to the entire kids mixtape. And since then for the past 2 months i have been on a constant loop of his music from kids to swimming. Id never thought that id fall in love with his music soo much within such a short period of time. Iv still got plenty to listen too but a part of me feels a bit bad knowing that hes passed away. Which means that the excitement of listening to another mixtape or an album might end soon. For sure hes released a fuck ton of music. But i feel bad knowing that im going to end up listening to all of em so quickly instead of having the thrill to wait for a few years for a new album of his while he was alive.

I feel like this got to be one of the saddest beats I ever heard

No other song easily puts me in a melancholic mood like this and I feel like the beat is so integral to the atmosphere for some reason
