As i understand, credit requirements are intimated as early as first year induction. I believe this student was a 3rd year student. Did College give any intimation as to the pullback of year back in any past discussions ? Or were there any related aspect of this issue ( which does not seem to be discussed in the media) that led to the unfortunate death ? From what i understand as of now from whatever i could read and see from reports, the student suicided due to the year back issue (which he had intimation of long time back). Absolutely 100% an unfortunate situation, but how would this be a college issue ? As i am asking this question, don't be quick enough to label me pro management or pro college. I am genuinely asking !!! I have absolutely no stake in this issue both pro students or pro college.

I feel like teachers are often more supportive and respectful toward students who are good at studies, while students who struggle academically are treated more harshly. Especially in the Civil Engineering department, our HOD has said really hurtful things to some of friends and heard a lot from senior . It’s disappointing that even after years of teaching and having higher degrees, some teachers still compare students and fail to understand that every student is different. Marks don’t define a person’s character, intelligence, or potential.

I can join mace in apot if i want mech at there as i already could have joined amd deliberately avoided mace and joined rit kottayam. Now im confused if i made the wrong choice, Is Mace Better than Rot for Mech??

I'm a first year and the college orientation starts on 10th at mace right.What normally happens on the first day of orientation? Do you meet new people then or is the meeting part mostly on the 2nd or 3rd day.I don't want to miss out on the chance of meeting new people but I'm afraid that I might have to skip the first day. Please do tell me what normally happens in the first day and why parents are needed for it.
