Hi, I just want to share my emotions because I didn’t expect that such a touching storyline would be built between Max, Hope and Glory.

I truly believe it’s a masterpiece because even though Max and Hope’s relationships were building step by step, it didn’t seem that way until he rescued her from slavery and everything that went further.

One of the most touching love stories I remember in gaming.
So sad and bittersweet… I was thinking immediately: what are you doing Max? Why are you leaving girls alone at this dangerous moment? If he took them with him they’d be alive.

And when the Chumbucket dies, and the first car returns to Max… Damn, that hit even harder.

Now 100% is waiting for me! Playing the game on a Steam Deck was so perfect. Both handheld and sometimes docked in 1080p.

Thank you Avalanche Studios!!! It’s a definitely underrated masterpiece. Especially now it’s easier to see.

I feel like doing another playthrough, but maybe with mods to make the experience fresh. Does anyone here have any favorite mods? Are they easy to install?

I saw a mod that increased fuel drain, which was something I love the idea of. However, that vibe-coded mod apparently requires cheat engine to be installed, and that sounds like a pain. Plus, with me not being the best at technology and so many modern multiplayer games using kernel level anticheat, I worry about locking myself out of other games.

The other night we were watching "Tank Girl", and I was struck by how much some of it looked like the game, and MM in general. The above is LITERALLY THE FIRST SHOT YOU SEE AFTER THE CREDITS. Look familiar?

There are a bunch of other things - scary guys with glowing red eyes who pop out of the earth, a nautical-themed hideout with a character who says "I need metal to complete my ark" because they believe the floods are coming, a little girl who's captured and enslaved, probably a bunch more I didn't catch.

There are fat amounts of code inside the game for it, I was able to run GameObjectCreator<CHelicopter> to get an "AirVehicle" that turns into "Helicopter" and then well you probably need to use some spawner queue to make it appear etc.? I was just replacing car creator with this and it created the object without crashing but crashed later? Sounds very impossible and life is hard enough without reading sheets of random assembly though! Do you think this is worth pursuing? Maybe you even want to give it a try? Tell you how to get started...
