As a Pakistani national, I'm planning to work & study from Masjid-al-Nabwi, remote-online, for a month. Are laptops allowed inside Masjid? Does female library allows to work too online. Google is showing me otherwise. Are there power sockets in Masjid and or library?
I’m looking to buy:
Bottles of Reef (specifically Reef 33, Reef Summer & Reef Obayah)
Musallahs that can be customised with names and colour/design change
Pens that can be customised with names and colour change
Itr bottles
Just looking for cheap good options. Not expecting them to be like 10 riyals 😭. Just want the best value for money since I need to buy quite a bit.
Thanks!
Salam, I’m leaving for umrah in two weeks, to be precise, on August 26th. I’ll be landing in Jeddah around 11:30 pm.
My flight will be departing from AMS via Abu Dhabi.
I have approximately two hours and fifteen minutes of transit time in Abu Dhabi before my connection flight to Jeddah.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Will the connection time be sufficient? Or should I change my flight to the next available flight with a layover of about six to eight hours?
I also need advice on whether I should perform my umrah after checking into the hotel while still in ihram or if I should simply relax and wait until the maghrib prayer.
Any advice appreciated .
Thanks in advance.
Asalaamu alaikum. I am from the UK and will be travelling to Medina in October insha'Allah for Hifz. I need to find a place to rent before I move, if anyone knows an available place to stay close to Masjid Nawabi, I would be very grateful. My budget is around 2000 -2300 Sar. Jazakallah
I'm writing this post because I have decided to go on a trip for Umrah, Inshallah. I will be traveling with my two children, who are three and five years old. We're looking for the best way to prepare for this trip. Can you please give us some tips on what we need to consider?
Also, we need to travel from Mecca to Medina, but we are unsure whether to take a taxi or a train since we will have a large bag that weighs about 30 kilos. What do you think would be better in this situation: the train or a taxi? Thank you!
Assalaamu Alaikum

Asalamualikum,
Alhamdulillah I am almost done with Umrah. It was such a beautiful trip. I just learnt of this forum and wanted to advise everyone if they can: please feed the cats around! Especially masjid Nabawi there are many (especially near gate 340!) . They are adorable. I’ve sat with them a few times and given them food (and shouted at a few kids who tried to hit them - astagfirullah many parents need to teach their kids to be kinder to these animals. If you see a kid try to hit the cats please advise them not to!).
Food can be bought for cheap at Bin Dawood :) I bought a small pack of kibble and some wet food and gave a few to whichever cat I saw. They are adorable and so loving. And please also give them water in a cup! I usually use the cup from the zamzam station and fill it it with water to the brim and they love it. Every cat I’ve given water to has drank from the cups for a full two minutes, especially in this weather.
We all have to remember we are Muslims and are not going to be here long. Please help whichever being, whether a human, cat or dog. Let’s remember to be selfless 🤲🏼
JazakAllah ❤️❤️
Attached a photo of a cat I feed daily in front of masjid Nabawi. She is adorable and super friendly alongside another black-ish cat and a white (I think) kitten. A kid tried kicking it yesterday astagfirullah and I shouted at him but I can only do so much if parents don’t want to teach their kids to not harm animals. If you have kids going for umrah or honestly anywhere with stray animals, please remind them to treat them kindly.
As someone also mentioned in the comments , if you have the ability and time , please trap neuter and release. I’m pretty sure you can dm Madinah Cats on Instagram for which vet to go and how to do it as they have a discount with them too 🤲🏼🤲🏼

hey we (me n my wife) r expats in madinah. keen to catchup with other expats or local to catchup for coffee n chat n making memories! DMs open.
Anyone here who can guide me if an ex qadiani like who left qadianyat and accepted Islam can go to saudia for protection? Like there are two women in our community and they left qadianyat alone (no males on their side) they're all by themselves now they feel threatened and helpless cause males of their family aren't supportive and they are living elsewhere. Now considering the crime conditions of this country these two women can't live alone anywhere cause they're not safe and people will not protect them much longer so we are looking if they can leave Pakistan and go to Saudia by getting a visa like protection from Ahmadi community and also Saudia is safer for women and do the saudi authorities will reduce their visa price if it's for a helpless people and protecting them? Anyone can guide it'll be helpful
