First win!

First win!

A friend and I bagged our first win playing full co-op. Everything must have been going right, it felt way easier than other games we've have. Delighted, what a buzz

Against the Dragon!

Short campaign has concluded with another victory!

Anyone else have specific playlists they listen to while playing? The Oblivion & Skyrim soundtracks are always a must for me.

*Mistake noted, city placed on coast line & I forgot to increase the Apocalypse Dragon level by 1 after it attacked me at a site!

How is the production quality of the Mage Knight Ultimate?

I’m about to buy Mage Knight Ultimate and personally for me the quality of components in a game is very important and extremely affects my experience, what should I expect in terms of production quality of Mage Knight?

How many of you consistently play this game with other players?

I have been relegated to considering this a solo game because I enjoy it so much but.. I just dont have the space or time to play a full conquest run and finish it. I really wish I could play it more in multiplayer because I have played pvp skills maybe 3 times and owned this game for like 5 years now.

How are you guys playing mage knight?

German Mage Knight ultimate edition reprint

I've been trying to track down a German copy of the Mage Knight Ultimate Edition, but it seems to be completely sold out everywhere. Does anyone know if Pegasus Spiele has announced a reprint anytime soon?

Also, with the new standalone expansion Emergence - The Portal to Power coming out soon in English, has there been any word on a localized German version?

Thanks in advance!

Solo - Against the Horsemen

Victory!! 2/3 scenarios successfully completed of the Apocalypse Dragon Short Campaign. This has been an absolute thrill and looking forward to Against the Dragon next!

Forgot to start the scenario at Lv 2, but still fared well!
Was able to defeat atleast the War rider before they all reached the Magical Glade. The Mass Expose spell became a crucial key to have all enemies lose their fortification once they reached the center, granting me 3 range attack in addition to 2 ranged attack from an activated unit, letting me make quick work of 2 hounds before the block & attack phases. Wounds were taken to ensure the final blows were dealt.

Bonus before / after pics of the For The Council Scenario!

Map Hard F’d Me

I was at the city I had conquered at the end of round 2 starting day phase of round 3. At the time I only had the white city tile revealed, the ones on either side were blank. I decided to defeat the dragon there and go back to the city to do one last recruit for the homies, Altem Mages. I thought I was good to take a turn or two to get myself situated for a FULL round to take the lvl 8 white city. The dummy player had other plays and ran out with a bad luck draw lol. Oops.

I can’t get to the city because of the lake, so I go west of the city I was in to the magical place and explored… basically blocked. I didn’t want to use 15 move to just be able to explore and hope I was good that way, so I had to go back the opposite direction just to get another lake directly in front of me and have to go around. At that point it’s night phase and and the forests now cost 5 each to get through….. so I had to come up with a whopping 17 move at the beginning of round 3 night phase AND take on 3 white and 1 grey enemy. I really thought I was gonna pull it off… but dummy player went out of cards and this is what I was left with….. one white enemy left alive at the end. This was a 2.5 hour play for me (only 3rd time playing).

Overall I enjoy the game and I’ll keep trying, but I need to find what strategies work better!

EDIT:***
I took some time to really look at it and I realized what happened. So the city tile that was taken was my first brown tile, the second brown tile was the other city with the draconum on it. However I explored incorrectly. I shouldn't have explored further forward because doing so meant that the new tile didn't touch two of the current tiles. It was only touching the other city tile. If I would have explored correctly then the second city tile should have gone where the tile with the double rampaging orc is. MEANING I COULD HAVE EASILY GOTTEN TO THE SECOND CITY BY GOING THROUGH JUST ONE MORE FOREST. Wow.... I'm so upset at myself now lol. I was at the Magical Glade when I explored.

Mage Knight solo conquest second attempt

Man this game is HARD. I had 14 cards in my hand going into the second city and I still couldn't beat the last guy. Damn Altem Guardian. I didn't get knocked out but it was my final turn on the final round so game over. I realise I made a rules mistake with the 2 adjacent tile rule for core tile explorations. Absolutely loving this game. I know it's not recommended but some friends and I are going to play a 4p co-op conquest tomorrow and I think it will be fun. (We'll use an online dummy player tool.) Runebound 3e is another game that isn't recommended at its max player player count of 4p and we played a 6p and it was awesome!

Appreciation

Game 2 of the short campaign included in Apocalypse Dragon. Playing with Coral. Just wanted to say how much I love this game! Spent more than a few hours, cards in hand, exploring and enjoying the hell outta myself. More often than not, getting pummelled in the process. Still….what a ride. Life’s a pretty sweet fruit.

Stayed up til 1:30 am, no regret whatsoever

Had a chance for my 2nd solo game to see how much fame I could achieve. For as late as it ran, I did not want it to end! This game is addictive.
