a few tips bc im bored (im in 3rd place with 1538 coins as of rn)

Hey yall, idk if this will be helpful to anyone but here's a few things that helped me

Before you start challenging people's hills

- do all the arenas. you can get a few hundred from that alone and a lot of practice

- do some practices, mainly on hard and extra hard. i found the arenas to typically be easier than hills so this will be a better way to gauge your ability

- don't go too fast when playing. this wont be a problem early on, but going too fast leads to weird glitches. (devs/mods please fix this i would highly appreciate it)

- have a plan for your next move but no need to plan more than 2 moves in advance. thinking takes too much time (for me at least maybe i'm slow)

If you can consistently do arenas in less than 30 seconds

- try hills. i typically only challenge the ones with times greater than 40 seconds. the slow ones with a lot of fails may be tricky but i go for them anyway bc they're more likely to get high amounts of coins

- don't challenge any hill more than 2 times. tbh if you fail the first time its probably better to not bother doing it again unless you were very close or lost due to glitches. there's a decent chance you'll just fail again and you're not going to get 4+ coins from the majority of hills

- don't do the revenge things. genuinely not worth it. similar reasoning to not challenging multiple times

- if you are fast, only put the last tile in at 33+ seconds (this is a very arbitrary number but it seems to work for me). any times that are too fast are going to get very few challengers

- dont create hills (unless you're feeling charitable). it costs 5 coins to create a hill and only 2 to challenge. creating hills will almost certainly lead to a net loss (devs/mods, maybe it's time to fix this)

- if you're consistently losing coins from king of the hill, go back to practicing and try again when your average times and win rates improve
