Alice Kuonji

(I recommend listening to her theme song while reading this comment)

I wanted to start by saying that every time I think about this character, I want to rewatch Mahoyo. Alice, for me, was created with the word "ethereal" in mind and conveys the feeling of being from another world simply by existing.

The delicacy of this character is like a crystal chalice, but it exudes the psychological firmness of a mage; these two poles make her an extremely interesting character for me. She herself is a mystery and whether or not the title of "professor of the fifth mage" is pretty cool. I really like this character!

There's a common misconception of Soujuurou that really bothers me

Out of the people in Mahoyo trio, Soujuurou is DEFINITELY the most morally dubious. To the point he presents some very anti-social traits

Both Aoko and Alice, more so after Mahoyo 1, but even before, have a clear distinguishment between right and wrong. Aoko herself hates doing bad things, as pointed out by Soujuurou. She feels terrible doing them, in general, Aoko tries to be good. Alice is the same. She could have genuinely have an easier time going by herself and killing Soujuurou, she could have tortured him anytime she wants when he annoyed her, but she didn’t. As Soujuurou said, "Alice would never do that".

Soujuurou, by virtue of being raised in a shithole of the mountains, has no concept of right or wrong. But what makes him morally dubious isn't that. It's the fact that he doesn't care about right or wrong.

People tend to see Soujuurou’s reluctance in killing/violence as a sign of a moral code but it's in his nature to avoid those things. Kumari points out better than anyone: Soujuurou has no self righteous to care about human morals. If Soujuurou needs to kill someone, he will do it. If he needs to steal, torture, rape, he WILL do it. Even if it goes against his nature.

Soujuurou by claiming "killing is wrong" is him trying to remind Aoko of her own wishes. She doesn't want to kill him. Why he did that? Eiri explains. He finds Aoko's self beautiful. He doesn't want her to taint it. Even in his most famous phrase, he's still not being a moralist.

It's part of Mahoyo that Soujuurou and Aoko fetishize each other, but the extent is way more than any fan usually talks about.

Touko Aozaki and Beo

I started rewatching Kara no Kyoukai after playing Witch on the Holy Night and came across some interesting points that I hadn't noticed before playing Mahoyo. Now that I know the character Touko Aozaki a little better, I've been wondering: where is Beo? Or why didn't he show up to help her, or things like that.I'm on episode 6 (Crunchyroll) and I find it interesting that some aspects of Touko from Mahoyo are very present in Kara no Kyoukai, such as the use of runes. I am a reader of Nasuverso who wants to learn more about this universe. Please give your opinion! Thank you.

Mahoyo was so ahh 💔

...is what I would say if I was STUPID.

After JUST finishing reading it, I'm glad to say that I loved reading this visual novel. It was such a vibe experiencing the visuals and the music. I really loved Soujyuro's and Jane Mahoyo's character's and their relationship throughout the story (i don't want them to part ways!!!!!!!!!!).

I'm pretty excited for the anime and it would be awesome if this vn got a sequel.

I'm pretty sure there are some extra chapters, but I'll check them out tomorrow.

So yeah, I really like Witch on the Holy Night.

Muchos gracias Kinoko Nasu for birthing such an awesome game.
