My makeup ALWAYS transfers onto the collar/neck of my shirts and it makes me crazy. It transfers onto other stuff too, but clothing is the big issue for me.
I use liquid foundation (right now I’m using a MAC serum foundation; sometimes I use Doublewear but as I get older I feel like it’s too try for my skin), a NARS blush stick, Tarte’s chocolate scented bronzer stick, and Charlotte Tilbury liquid/tube squeeze highlighter. Sometimes I use Haus Labs blurring powder, too.
I have tried MAC, Tarte, Milani, NYX, Urban Decay, Benefit, Morphe, and elf setting sprays, and none of them keep my makeup from transferring.
I am willing to pay whatever I have to for whatever will actually keep my makeup from transferring onto everything.
Please please give me some product/brand suggestions!
I am a natural blonde with blue eyes. Without make-up, I am as pale as a Dutch master's painting. At about 15, I was taken to a make-up artist and given make-up lessons by my parents. Since then, I have even been told I look better with make-up than without. I am similar to the actress, Pamela Anderson, in skin coloring, and she also looks very different without makeup because she is pale. I have been told I look beautiful with makeup on, and I try to keep it as natural as possible, especially as I have gotten older. I know what intensity makes me look best. Honestly, brow pencil, eyeshadow, and mascara have been my best friends since my teenage years. I do not go out of my home without at least doing my eyes and brows. Whenever my friends have seen me without make-up, they are so surprised, and I have been criticised even by my family and told to please go and put on make-up. Is there anyone else out there who has a phobia of going bare-faced because they look so much better with make-up?
I really need to start using color more I have fun 🥰🌈🌈
I entered this in a makeup contest for Nomad Cosmetics on the gram. Nope I didn’t win! They didn’t even notice it I think! Lol But 3 wonderful creators did! Either way I am trying to reach as many creative makeup lovers out there! :) NOT A STICKER! Just Illusion Makeup . I welcome all opinions!

I was shopping for some drugstore makeup before my girls’ trip to Greece. One of my friends is from there and her grandparents are hosting us in a small village near Athens. I’m trying to save as much money as I can so we can really enjoy ourselves while we’re there but I also want to get some cute Instagram pictures. I've been looking for a new blush. Right now I have the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch blush but I feel like it’s a little too much for the soft, natural look I’m going for. I swatched the Milani Baked Blushes in Dolce Pink and Berry Amore and they both looked gorgeous on my hand. I just haven’t had the chance to try them on my face yet. I already use Milani’s mascara and bronzer and they’re two of my favorite drugstore products, so I’m hoping the blushes are just as good. I mainly want to know if they photograph well since I’ll be taking a lot of pictures on the trip.
Used the Plouise halloween pallette and spellbound pallette by Jolie Beauty. And Kylie Jenner mascara in black. Collection waterproof eyeliner in black. And a boots lip gloss
What do we think of the makeup look? Yay or nay?
I was just gonna do a couple stars under the eyes until I remembered I have free will. And who was gonna stop me?
I tried, no makeup tips please this isn’t makeup tips sub

Hi!
I have never posted here before, so my reason for joining is just to speak about my feelings.
Back in April, Essence posted the following on their official Instagram account:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DW8gJUOAe5g/
It was about an exclusive Essence signature trip to Mykonos. All they asked for was a convincing comment about why they should choose you / take you on the trip. They gained a huge number of comments and, to be honest, a few days ago I went through a lot of profiles under that post, just out of curiosity.
The thing is, I saw only average girls' profiles, similar to mine, with a small amount of followers, mostly being private. This is exactly what I was expecting.
Moving on... Today, stories started to appear in my feed from the official Essence account and I saw that they are mostly reposts of the chosen girls' stories. I checked their profiles and I was so disappointed and sad at the same time… They are all micro-influencers. I’m not mad about it, but I would have expected them to clarify in their post that they werelooking for girls with slightly bigger audiences. My point is that they should’ve reached out to them to join the trip via email or DM. Hyping up loads of average girls like me is such a bad choice from Essence.
I think a more advanced application process could make it more secure for them in the future, using a similar technique to HR at companies. This could surely filter out unwanted applicants or fake profiles. I would suggest a website where you must answer questions using your laptop’s camera, for example.
I truly love and enjoy using their products, but I feel really disappointed.
Anyways, I wish them a wonderful trip!
On the other hand, I hope they can improve their communication in the future regarding public brand trips.
Ive been doing the whole skincare-first makeup thing for years. primer, colour corrector, all of it. but lately I'm standing in front of the mirror thinking do I really need all this?
I spend like 15 minutes prepping my face before I even touch foundation. and honestly my makeup looks the same as when I just used moisturizer and went for it. maybe I'm just tired. or maybe the industry has convinced me I need 5 layers of hydration for my makeup to sit nicely.
has anyone else simplified their prep and found it actually helped? or are we all just out here layering stuff because we're scared to stop lol
Morph Chroma Plus: Sky-Fi palette using “Teal Thunder”, “Heaven Sent”, and “Cumulus Candy”.
LA Colors Gel Liner - “Rose Gold Shimmer”.
Sephora “Shimmer Irise” in the corners and “Let It Snow” overlay when I blend the colors.
Elf H2O Proof Inkwell Eyeliner in “White Out”.
Skipped the full face today.
Nails are Glamnetic Butterfly Effect Press-ons.
Me (26M) and my gf (24F) moved to Bangalore a few months ago. Both working full time, traffic sucks, we're basically ships passing at this point.
She found some app where you can try makeup at home before buying. I nodded like a supportive boyfriend while having zero clue what she was talking about.
Now she's completely obsessed. Foundation shades. Concealers. MAC. Undertones. Natural lighting vs store lighting. I don't know what any of this means.
Pata hai aaj kya hua? I asked what she wants for dinner. She tells me about a lipstick shade.
I asked how her day was. She tells me about a foundation match.
She used to spend all weekend going store to store, coming back exhausted. Now she's in pajamas on the couch with coffee, actually happy about it.
So I still don't know the difference between foundation and concealer, and I'm basically just stuck here for the ride lmao. But she's happy so whatever I guess.
Anyone else's partner get randomly obsessed with something and now you're just... here for it? 😂
hey guys! i’m looking for a good powder bronzer and contour palette (or even just a good powder bronzer). I did love the KVD shade + light palette in 2016 so i’m debating buying it again, but i’ve been out of the makeup world loop for the past few years so not sure if there’s better options out there, or if i should just get that one (although all the reviews say it arrives broken, so not fully set on it). preferably not too expensive, i’m open to both drugstore n sephora products as long as they’re good !
I have light to medium skin tone and warm undertones
