A couple of new(ish) things. (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text.

Playing with some older wigs, I popped this one on as an afterthought - and maybe I've grown into it? It's sort of ombre gray, maybe salt and pepperish. Before losing a bunch of weight, I didn't like exposing my neck, but I think it's better now? The lipstick is new - MAC Red Rock - and I needed a replacement for my peachy blush - this is from NYX's Buttermelt collection - Sunset Sorbet.

And yes, I was thinking of Stevie Nicks with the leather/lace outfit. What do you think?

Welcome your feedback/advice!

I need drugstore dupes for Jasleen Singh's makeup routine

I really love the way she does her makeup and I think part of the reason I'm so drawn to it is because I have really dry skin. She doesn't seem to use much powder if any and everything always looks so glowy, hydrated and skin like instead of super matte or heavy. The only thing I wish is that she would post more makeup content and actually break down her routine more often. I'd especially love to see her do a full drugstore GRWM because some of the products she uses are definitely outside my budget. I need someone to go through her usual makeup routine product by product and find the closest drugstore alternative for each one. I don't necessarily need the exact products, I just want that same finish without spending a small fortune. https://www.tiktok.com/@thejasleensingh/video/7508032996365159722

Waterproof eye makeup suggestions for watery eyes?

Hiya, like the title says, my eyes are often hella watery! It’s mainly if I’m in the sun, I’ll be crying real tears if it’s too bright out no matter what I do. I have light blue eyes and I think the lack of melanin makes me extra sensitive to bright light. They’re not watery otherwise, I would consult a doctor if it was a constant issue but it’s only bothersome if I’m wearing a full beat on a sunny day.

I’ve got my base foundation and skin products down. I am able to create a relatively waterproof base with products I already have. However, I am sick to death of crying my eye makeup off! I have been avoiding waterproof eye products for a while because I’m honestly lazy and historically have found them to be harder to remove, but I’m done with ruining a nice beat because my eyes won’t stay dry.

TLDR: If you have a go-to waterproof mascara, or liquid, pencil, and/or gel liners, lid primer, or under eye concealer that you swear by, can you please let me know? Or if you have waterproofing tips, please fill me in?

I’m not really on social media outside of Reddit these days, and I feel like I’ve sort of fallen behind on what’s good in the makeup world. I generally don’t like to spend more than $20 or so on a single product but I can be convinced to go high-end if it’s really worth it.

About me for product reference: I only wear black mascara and liner, and I am very pale with a cool pink undertone. My skin type is slightly oily but I am lucky that it’s very forgiving and so I can wear a wide variety of products without issue.

Thank you so much!

Found a Great Foundation for Me.

My lovely partner had got me some Jerome Alexander Self Adjusting foundation and I loved it. Unfortunately I used it all up. It was a bit pricey when I went to get more. So me being a very frugal person set out to find a good replacement. After trying a couple of other brands, I found it. I bought a tube of Almay - Ageless Smart Shade Foundation at Walmart for half the price. It's the kind of foundation that goes on white then adapts to your skin tone. It went on beautifully, looked great and took all my other products extremely well. It covered all my fine lines wonderfully and stayed looking great all day with no touch ups. So if you are looking a for a new Foundation, I would highly recommend the Almay - Ageless line. It is a great product for a great price.

Also got a Palette of nudes and brown eyeshadow from Laura Geller that has been wonderful as well. Great shades and nicely blendable. (Found it at Marshall's for only $5. I'm very Frugal...)

Other products I used for my look;

Westmore Beauty - 60 Second Eye Effects - Tinted Firming Gel

Wet N Wild - Incognito Concealer - Fair Beige

Almay - Ageless Smart Shade Foundation - 200 Light Medium

Luara Geller - Nude Attitude ‘Barely Burnished’ Eyeshadow Palette

Wet N Wild - Liquid Eyeliner - Brown

Maybelline - Sky High Mascara -True Brown

Loreal - Unbelieva Brow - Light Brunette

Ellen Tracy - Rosy Blush - 4 Shades Compact

Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Loose setting powder

Almay - Lipvibes Lipstick #270 ‘Be Strong’

Wet N Wild setting spray

Looking for Alternative/dark MUA in LA for wedding

Hi, looking for a makeup artist for my November 2026 wedding in Los Angeles for me and my bridal party. We have a Catholic-gothic vibe, all red roses, golds and silvers, guests wearing all black and bridesmaids in rose-red gowns. Its giving vampy, Dolce and Gabbana vibe.....

Makeup I told my bridesmaids:

YES: 👍🏼 neutrals: browns, beige, black, grays, white and silvers, golds, reds, burgundy. Heavy or light makeup, whatever suits you :)👍🏼♥️🖤💀

NO: 🚫pinks, peachy/coral colors, no bright colors other than red, 🚫blush blindness 🚫

I attached some examples of what I'm looking for...

ANY MAKEUP ARTISTS YOU CAN SUGGEST THAT ARE BUDGET-FRIENDLY IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA? Or how to find one?

Help getting makeup to last longer!

Hey everyone!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I need some help getting my foundation and concealer to last a bit longer than 3 hours under my glasses. I’ve been wearing Estée Lauder double wear for about 5 years now, and it used to suit just fine! But within the past year, it’s started melting off my face under where my glasses touch my face.
I’ve always used double wear because it’s lasted me all day working under extreme retail lighting and heat. But now I’ve changed to an office job it’s absolutely failing me.
I’ve always worn maybelline grippy primer, double wear, shape tape concealer, and then powdered under my cheeks and eyes to stop it creasing. Set everything together with OneSize setting spray.
Since changing to this office job, none of it is working. Foundation, melts. Concealer, creases. Grippy primer, turns oily.

What do I do? I’m dry/combo in the T zone, so mattifying primers always make me look dusty. My skincare routine is a simple micellar cleanser, alcohol free toner, and deep restore moisturiser for my eczema patches.

My morning makeup routine

Not including my eyeshadow and blush this is everything I use on my face prep to powders. I have been looking for years for my skin not only the undertone but the condition. I have normal to oily skin, especially in the t zones. But I did start with dry to combo skin, but after using Neutrogena Hydro boost line to wash the face and other issues, it is now healthy.
So, these are the products that I use now daily. I switch them out from time to time, but the Neutrogena modifying matte liquid primer is at my holy Grail. I will never switch it out now.
The other products I’ve been using are the NYC Wonder Snatch foundation and also About Face foundation for Olive undertones. I have a light to medium soft olive undertone.
I also use NYX Make Them Wonder loose powder. It is so beautiful, thin and makes my skin look like velvet. And then I also use overall Morphe cloud veil. That’s it when my skin looks fantastic.

PS I use Ulta Matte Veil Ieye primer and also Metacube water moisturizer morning and night.
