Hi my names Lewis and I've just moved to Leeds, and I usually have trouble making friends causing I'm a bit of an introvert when it comes to new people.

I am a Software Developer professionally, and big into photography. My hobbies range quite a lot, I love to travel, I've recently taken up skateboarding to commute to work and just for fun.

PS: I’m a pretty standard girl tbh. I work 8am-4pm mon-fri. I enjoy brunch, the gym, walks, wine, dancing, karaoke, beginner level/ just for fun sports, deep conversations, going out for dinner, getting dressed up, baking, playing guitar, singing, comedy, board games, brain games (sudoku, crossword etc), animals, movies etc etc!

Hi everyone! I volunteer with a small Leeds-based Ukrainian community charity and we’re looking to build up a wider pool of volunteers.

Here ate often posts on here from people looking for things to do in Leeds, ways to meet new people, or ways to feel a bit more connected to the city. Volunteering is a great way to do that. You get out of the house, meet decent people, support local community events, and do something practical that helps others.

We’re looking for people who might be happy to help with occasional events/projects but also longer term help to, including helping run the back office things.

As an example, we have volunteer slots available in our event management team which is a longer term option and/or we have events most weeks where we need occasional people to help them run, these can involve general help on the day, driving (fuel costs covered), etc.

I'm [36F] looking to meet friends. I've found myself in a job that's very isolating, working in a geographically dispersed team (no one in my team is within 100 miles of me). I'm not from Leeds originally and have never really managed to find my 'tribe'. Probably because I can think of nothing better than being home by 7 with a glass of wine and some shit TV.

I live with my female partner, but don't really identify with the LGBT scene. We have a primary school aged child (Y3) which further eats into opportunities to socialise. And I work too much to see the school gate mums with any real regularity.

About me - I'm pretty boring. Very professional job so spend half my life wearing a suit on the top half and jeans or pyjamas on the bottom half. Decent general knowledge. Won't give you my political beliefs for all the tea in china but I'm happy enough for you to tell me yours, I am really very interested in politics but figure it's a free country, vote for who you want. I don't actually know who my partner votes for and we've been together for years. I'm crap at crafts, I say I have no time for sports but it's probably a lack of inclination, I'll watch women's football but the mens world cup is quite boring. I love to eat, drink, be merry. Alright at board games as long as they're not crap.

But between working from home and the nature of the job, I've been really lonely lately, so I figured I'd try. My name is Sajid. I never thought I’d have to post something like this on a social platform. I am 47 M, I am totally blind but my hobbies include running listening to music and all the usual things that people are into. However, as I’ve got older Friends have moved away and I’m finding it increasingly difficult and somewhat isolating to get out there to do social things. not that I’m saying I don’t have any friends here at all. it’s not as if I don’t fill my time up as I work part-time as well. I don’t have any children except two cats which doesn’t count I guess. :) i’m increasingly anxious to get out there to make friends but need to take that next step. I’m not shy in any sense but I just don’t know where to start these days.

So I've got anxiety and eupd which has unfortunately effected previous friendships and after much time of just trying to plod on and work through my shiz, I've been thinking it's about time to try and meet some new people to chat with, maybe eventually come on a walk with me and the pooch. I'm just a genuine soul, I enjoy most genres of music and tv. I game but have a tendency to hyper focus one game at a time :D

I have a fascination of many topics from philosophy to neurology or just about anything, but as with the gaming, I'm usually stuck in a hyper focus which renders every other topic obsolete.
