Does anybody else see the similarity?

I was rewatching Vol. 5, and it was around this part at the end, that it made me think of this photo of Eyeless Jack.

They both look similar, dressed in all black with dark holes for eyes, only defining feature are their faces, the way the camera is positioned so that they're looking down at you.

It just makes me wonder if that photo was an inspiration for this scene in Vol. 5 or just a coincidence.

I have a few thoughts on The Mandela Catalogue and The Walten Files.

Honestly, it feels like Alex Kister just doesn't know what to do with his series or how to advance the overarching plot anymore; he’s stuck in a rut with the analog horror format and isn't evolving–unlike Martin Walls, who created true ABSOLUTE CINEMA on YouTube! That’s the kind of thing that should be shown in movie theaters; Martin Walls deserves it.

I genuinely love The Mandela Catalogue, but let’s be honest: in this day and age, that style of analog horror has just... become outdated. You can count the analog horror series that actually reached a finale on the fingers of one hand: Gemini Home Entertainment (though I’m a bit late on that, since–SURPRISE IT’S BACK), The Painter by URBANSPOOK (no matter how much the Twitter crowd squeals, you can’t deny the guy conquered the internet and is now working on a new project), and The Monument Mythos (though things are so convoluted and there are so many endings that it could just keep going) and... is that it? WOW, this is disappointing.

Anyway, my point is that Kister should have focused on his series and his upcoming movie instead of dressing up in a dress and hitting on minors! I wish the best for both The Mandela Catalogue (hoping the series doesn't die out and finds a second wind) and The Walten Files (hoping Martin keeps up the momentum and creates masterpieces that make it beyond YouTube and onto the big screen).

Islam in TMC universe

Lucifer very early on in the chronology of the Abrahamic Religions highjacks the role of the Archangel Gabriel and spreads a corrupted message in his stead.

In Islam Gabriel was the one who directly revealed to Muhammad what would become the foundations of Islam.

So, are they more or LESS fucked then Christians in the world of The Mandela Catalogue

Are alternates even conscious?

Okay dumb question, I'm kind of new in this fandom.

In an interview, Alex details the alternates as a hive mind controlled by Gabriel, "I kind of view it as they're kind of being controlled to do so by the hive mind, which is Gabriel." , "They know how to replicate how someone looks and how to trick people."

If this is true and alternates are just some kind of Gabriel vessels, then their behavior makes more sense, since they all just kind of act in the same way, and when they talk they only say the same things to torment the human they are preying on.

And it would also make sense that Six/Intruder is "something else" working alongside alternates.

Six is the only one that seems more "conscious" than any other alternate, doesn't seem to be replicating the appearance of someone, and has a completely different set of abilities, mentioned by Alex that he is not limited to manifesting only through TVs, but also through any kind of visual media, like a children's drawing.

Thoughts? 🤔
