Anyone else mourning her already?

not to doom, but this is the best she’s ever been and likely her peak. the nerfs will undoubtedly come. anyone else kinda mourning her already? I really love that she’s viable in 222 and I know that her being viable in 222 makes her a demon for more coordinated play but i dont want it to end lol 😭

Yeah she's cooked next season

She's always played or banned in C1+, and they're definitely going to nerf her next season. I hope it's nothing too crazy since I find her the most fun. I get like a crazy dopamine rush from hitting headshots, damage-boosting DPS or any ult I see.

Alright, which one of y'all was this

Me and her had a laugh after, so all is good 😂

Should you wait to counter or use your ult liberally?

Hello mantis mains, I'm a low rank mantis (plat) and I used to always save my ult to counter an enemy ult or to try and rescue the tanks or another teammate from dying.

There were a few problems with this, mainly that when waiting for a good moment you get to ult less during the game. Since mantis' ult charge fills so quickly right now with the star lord teamup, you spend a good deal of the game sitting on 100%, waiting for the enemy to fill up. Other problems include that the dps sometimes die in a split second or far away out of position and when you ult it's already a 4x6 and not ideal, and then you think ulting would just be a waste at this point and try to save it for the next fight. Another problem is when the enemy team will combo ults together and kill you inside your ult anyway, so you wasted your ult advantage keeping it. But at the end of the day, nullifying an enemy ult can be good.

Recently in a game a dps player (lol) asked us supports why we save our ults instead of just ulting when we get to point and everyone is alive, and I've been trying that. It's very brainless of course but I get to ult like 6 times during a game when I used to only do it 4 or maybe 3 times when waiting. Usually something dies but even if nothing gets killed, you just forced the enemy to give space for 8 seconds multiple times which can be good, and sometimes an enemy will even ult randomly to avoid dying and just waste it.

Since, again, mantis ult charge fills so quickly right now, maybe it's best to just spam it to maintain ult advantage for the whole round and pressure the enemy team into bad ults?

What do you think?

I can’t wait to see Drax in this game

I remember I laughed so hard when heard this line. I hope the dev can bring Drax into Rivals one day so I can actually hear him say this when Mantis is defeated. 🤣
