My husband, 7 month old, and I are highly considering moving to Maple Valley from Renton (Fairwood). Husband works remote and I commute to SeaTac about 1-2x a week. We are in our mid 30s and are a mix of being homebodies but also enjoy getting out of the house (going on walks, running errands, eating out, things we can do with a baby, etc.).

We are mainly considering MV due to school district and ‘affordability’ but would love to hear what locals think of it?? I had joined the Community of Maple Valley Facebook group to try to get a feel but maybe that wasn’t the best indication….would love to hear from anyone! Tyia!

Does anyone know of a local place that we can take it too? All I’m finding are Seattle and Factoria

In the 80s & 90s, the park above Mud Mountain Dam had a big, sort of vaguely castle-like fountain kids could play on. Does anyone have a photo of it, or know where there is one online?
