I am currently Suunto Vertical 2 user. I am using this watch for hiking, mountaineering,... and also as daily driver.

I decided to buy my first analog watch to be used as EDC watch. I kind of want to go away from amoled screen and all the vibrations which "smart" watch gives you.

I looked at many brands and kind of love the vibes of Marathon brand.

I also decided to go with quartz since i will be using also my suunto when needed. So i need watch to be always ready to use it. This might change if automatic movement will offer more reserve in future.

I tired Officer watch but i did not like the size of it. And i wanted more durable watch overall.

So looking other models Navigator or Diver.

I really like both of them and i am having hard time to decide which way to go. Driver i like the shape and overall look of it. But worried about thickness and weight as EDC watch.

Any comment and help around both models would be helpful. Thank you

Searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. I have a GSAR with the standard rubber straps. Is there a better compass available than the $7 amazon one I currently have? I use it for helicopter SAR, so it needs to be rugged, but I would love something classier. Thanks!

Hello! I'm looking for a quality rubber strap for my 41mm GSAR Anthracite. I love the watch and also love the bracelet it came on, but for really tough/sweaty days I would like a rubber strap I could throw on it. The trouble is I can't find many quality strap options with matching black hardware, and 330 euros for Marathon's 3 piece kit kind of seems like a rip off.

Does anyone have any have any good recommendations for a quality rubber strap with DLC/black hardware?

Hello all, I've fallen down the watch collecting hobby over the past couple years, I have a few relatively cheap automatics in the collection and a couple digital G-shocks too, I'm looking to clear them all out and stick to a one watch to rule them all approach.

Might I keep a Single digital G as an absolute beater but for 99 percent of the time I'm looking to rock the Marathon, question is do I go the quartz and save the hassle of time setting and have a more robust GADA or tickle that Horology itch with the Auto?

Just thinking out loud and would appreciate some of your opinions and experiences.

PS looking at the Large TSAR or GSAR in Arctic white on rubber. Cheers fellas.

Quick question for y'all. Anyone purchased the popular Juelong FKM bands on Aliexpress? I have a 36mm OSAR-D, and I purchased the 18mm band for it, but I'm wondering if that's actually the incorrect size, as it says 18mm x 16mm on the listing. Does that mean that it's 18mm at the lugs and tapers down to 16mm near the buckle? Regardless, excited to add some color to the wrist!

Ditched my Garmin close to a month ago and was looking for another Garmin or wait for the Apple Watch Ultra 4.

After a lot of thought I truly believe the metrics those watches offer are bullshit. I need to get a real watch.

Was close to getting a Seiko and then something from AliExpress but decided to see if anything was made from the land I was born and raised in. Found Marathon pretty quickly and am set on getting a watch by them.

So if anyone has any opinions on owning these or what models I should look into I would truly appreciate it.
