Is there any Marina songs you can't physically listen too because of deep relatable sadness or bad memories?
I realised as I was listening to Marina I genuinely can't listen to Guilty on The Family Jewels Album because it deeply hurts in understanding and how many times I used to listen to it, obviously dont have to share your reason why if you dont want to! I'm just asking if thats happened to you?-
P.S: im aware she wrote that song about dream, but it's all about interpretation and other meanings connected to the song. I love the song but gosh, it causes me so much emotional grief.

new listener : over the past two days i've listened to all six studio albums
these are my first impression and my ranking of how well they captivated me:
- ancient dreams in a modern land
- the family jewels
- electra heart
- princess of power
- love + fear
- froot
one song that really got me in a chokehold is "i love you but i love me more"

I really don't know at this point, Marina did not make an announcement for the end of this era so that plus this story gives me hope, maybe Marina wanted to release after the tour but that's just a theory 😅

I just noticed that there's a difference between the two songs in the two albums. The deluxe album has a difference in the 2nd verse (1:10 mark) and it's very noticeable...

Love + Fear is a very poignant album and I’ll die on this hill.
“I hate this city but I stay cause of you” isn’t just exclusive to romantic relationships. We can stay stuck somewhere because of our family, “friends”, or support network and afraid we will lose it / won’t find it again in a new place. So we stay where we are planted. 💔

Questions from a new fan
Hi! I recently discovered Marina and I really enjoyed the few songs that I’ve listened to. I feel like there are probably a lot of hidden gems in her discography and I’ll make sure to listen to all of it.
In the meantime do you have any recommendations? What are your personal favorite songs? Which ones do you think have the best lyrics? Which ones have the best production / instrumental or just sound the best overall?
Are there any songs that feel particularly different from the rest of her discography? Maybe because they have a different genre or style?
If you could introduce Marina to a new fan what would you want them to know about her? Any fun facts or interesting things about her career that you think a new fan should know?
