unfortunately, a small mistake cost me speed

Only recently got back to playing MK8 after a long time away. Has this always been possible? I'm probably out of the loop, came as a shock to me during the race lol.

I hope this is an okay place to post this, Im excited and want friends to play with.

Drop a comment if ya wanna be mario kart pals

I’d like to thank my friends that have been supporting me with my br grind and shoutout to Feta as well :D she killed herself on my items during balloon battle so I’d win and get 60k lol thanks girl <3 🙏🏻

I was doing some tt on MountWario and somehow I did this, can someone explain it to me? thx
