I’m surprised I haven’t heard more uproar about the flock cameras in Marquette. I’m hoping they don’t install any more than they already have… As far as I know, these four are the only ones currently in Marquette. Does anyone have any info?

I keep hearing stories of older people getting scammed by putting money in a bitcoin ATM. I would not even know what makes an ATM a bitcoin one. Does anybody know how to tell them apart from regular ATMs or if there are even any bitcoin ATMs in the UP? I don't even know of any business you could spend these bit coins.
Hey everyone my mom just moved back to Marquette. Her horse passed away and she is unable to find a place that can dispose of him without driving her beloved pets body into Wisconsin tomorrow. The vet just put him down in her trailer and couldn't take him. Can anyone help? I don't want her to have to drive all the way over there with her dead horse.
Edit: Contacted a local guy with an excavator and was able to bury him on someone's property. Thanks so much for the advice also this town is amazing!
Good afternoon! Our family is taking a trip to Marquette at the beginning of September and I’ve read the mosquitos, ticks, flys, etc. can be pretty bad when on the trails in the area. What do you guys recommend, and would it be better to buy something o line and pack it, or purchase when we arrive to Marquette. Thank you for the help!

My grandfather built these wooden mounts for these lamps 50+ years ago and they are deteriorating. We are hoping to find someone locally who has the ability to do a 3D scan so that we can get new mounts 3D printed.
We are in the market for a golden retriever puppy but want to make sure there aren’t any litters or future litters available in the UP before venturing downstate or out of state. Does anyone know of any breeders up here? A golden would be our first choice but we’re open to other similar breeds as well.

Hello! Lower peninsula dweller here. My family and I are coming up at the end of this week. My son (6) wants to look for yooperlites, and I was wondering if anyone can point us in the right direction on where to look. We will be staying in Marquette but we are also going to be visiting family that just moved from out of state to the Gwinn area. We are willing to travel a little bit outside of those areas if need be. We also have a 2 yr old, but we have a hiking chair we carry her in so the area doesn't have to be stroller friendly, but safety is a concern with small kids.
Also, any other outdoorsy stuff you guys can recommend is very much appreciated! Best beaches, trails, views, or any kid friendly activities.
