I want to start this off by saying that Rivals was my first hero shooter. Been playing since Season 0. But after being introduced to Overwatch, side-by-side playing going back and forth. Rivals is genuinely horrible. The community is toxic, the balancing is horrible, the Devs just don't know what they're doing and the game is going in a direction that is literally not even fun. It feels like if you're not playing what's Meta or not playing one of the many hand-holding characters, then you're not going to have a good time. That's not to say you can't make it work. I play the off-heroes all the time. I play Spider-Man, I play Venom, I play Strange, I play BP, I play Mantis and so on.. but MY GOD is the game infinitely harder than it needs to be when playing those characters. How is Phoenix not nerfed? How is the Hela Namor team-up still a thing? How is White Fox even a character that exists? Oh an ANTI-DIVE SUPPORT?! What were the devs smoking when coming up with that. Oh you know the class that is supposed to be countered by diving? Let's make an anti-dive support cause yeah that's smart. How did Cyclops even make it past the testing phase of the character development? How come you can't punish players that are out of position and so much more?!

Don't even get me STARTED on tanking. The tenacity thing? Like what? Never even heard it. Because it NEVER EVEN WORKS!! Instead of just getting rid of the mass amounts of stuns and cc's that I swear every character has nowadays, they make this complicated system that doesn't even work. Oh FYI they NERFED TENACITY. Literally I swear it never even popped when I was tanking, oh but god forbid I play dps and attempt to dive Guang Guang and Zhiyong's golden children (Luna, Invis or White Fox) then it just INSTANTLY pops after the third cc. (obviously overdramatizing) The game is so stupid nowadays.

I remember when the game came out, they actually listened to the mass public and Overwatch was the one that never listened, now they only listen to a certain portion of the community whereas Overwatch is shockingly in a somewhat better state from what I hear at least cause I just stared playing that game like a couple months ago. But now Rivals only listens to a certain part of the community that being the people that buy every skin on release and don't critically think because god forbid you interrupt their shooting down main simulator and ask them to maybe critically think. Now the direction that the game is going? This is like their 20th hitscan/autopilot character that is busted on release that doesn't require you to actually think. You only have to hold down left click (or right trigger for my console friends) and just move your mouse (or joystick) and not think because the character just plays itself. "But what about their abilities?" Oh yeah Phoenix's stun that has the hitbox bigger than the Antonov An-225 Mriya (the worlds biggest plane). Or her teleport that does damage and stuns you too (at least I think because I can never tell what's going on my screen cause the screen shaking and the clutter). Oh Cyclops? Do I even need to describe him? Just look at his kit.

Back the the screen/camera issues.. MY GOD. It's like I'm riding a ride at Universal Studios that's a movie ride with the mass amounts of screen shake. There used to be a mod that disabled screen shake but it doesn't even work anymore cause now in the files of the game, the screen shaking is built into the animation, it's no longer a separate thing. I just don't get it. There needs to be an option to turn it off, the worst victim of screen shake being Deadpool.. who is also the main perpetrator of screen clutter cause HOLY SHIT when you use his "Deadpool in Area" ability you just completely BLIND the characters.

The community now? Oh I have a few words for the community. Yes there are amazing people and I've made some amazing friends and teams on this game, but holy shit do a ton of you just need to get lobotomized because of how selfish and insecure you guys are. You guys take everything so personally. "Hey Luna can you maybe flake our diver or a tank and not self-flake?" Instantly get called worthless and that I shouldn't tell her how to play. "Hey tank can you stop overextending?" Instantly get called a fucking dumbass because tanks need to make space. Yeah no shit you need to make space, but stop going to the other side of the world with a one-way ticket and asking "why am I not getting heals?" Oh I don't know man maybe because we're in California and you're all the way in fucking Maine.

Also just the general toxicity with your teammates. Half- no actually more than half the battle is you arguing with your team and only you being the only one to ever counter-swap whereas everyone else is SO FOCUSED on wanting to play their character. It's like the enemy team wants the win more each time and it gets so draining so fast. I really wish the game can go back to the glory days of Season 0-3. I know that some people are like "that was the worst cause all the characters were busted" and so on and so forth. But man was it really fun.

It was fun getting instant updates, fun messing around and genuinely having a blast in QP. Now QP is worst than comp and I don't even want to know the state of comp. Also can Role-Queue be added? Or a mode that has Role-Queue? I don't know why people are so hell-bent on not wanting Role-Queue but then go on to complain that they're solo-tanking or solo-healing. It's almost as if Role-Queue will eliminate that.
