I love this modpack and all its added fish, but I especially love the oarfish <3 just look at him
I've had fun messing with the datapack, fixing bugs and altering loot tables, but I've been wanting to do more.
I think it could be fun to make a datapack (or several perhaps) that serve as add-ons to matcha. Adding additional features and such.
I have been thinking about a major fishing content add-on, adding new fishing rods, food, lures, maybe even lava and void fishing if I can figure it out.
A much smaller idea I've had is adding a compass that points north (so I can finally stop using f3 constantly with maps), and maybe messing with the compasses, so that we have different compasses that work in different dimensions.
Does anyone else have ideas for add-ons? I think a good addon should be something that Klei probably wouldn't add to the base datapack, so then it makes sense to have it as an optional add-on.
I'd really like to have potatoes because they heal an absolutely insane amount.
Like it attacks so slowly and doesnt even do mutch damage, the blocking feature is cool but also kinda redundant when sheilds exist? thoughts
Like, if you manage to find an abandoned portal early on, you immediately have a fortune pickaxe, and if you get your hands on 12 gold and an anvil, you just got yourself a fortune 3 pickaxe just like that, and it can mine diamonds.
It's insanely good, I love it.
I cannot figure this out, help
Basically just title.
I havent seen anyone else post anything about this item, so was just curious.
Also does anyone know how to repair one? I've tried iron, string and sticks in an anvil but none work.
Also sorry about no flair I just physically cannot seem to add one.
In the current version of the datapack, the fishing loot is bugged.
Some recent patch notes include "Fishing outside of pre-designated biomes no longer gives insane loot (junk pool at 85 weight as fallback)"
He modified the fishing loot table to add an entry at a weight of 85 that's just garbage, but he forgot to make it only apply "outside of pre-designated biomes". So it ALWAYS applies.
This means that, each time you fish (assuming you have no luck of the sea, for simplicity), you're getting the following:
wieght: 10) Trashweight: 5 ) Treasureweight: 85) Biome-dependant fishweight: 85) TrashSo it ends up as about 51% trash, when the intended is 10%
The fix for this is just a simple change to the fishing loot tables.
Matcha_Flavoured_1_12, or something along those lines. In that folder is all of the datapack and texturepack stuff.data > minecraft > loot_table > gameplay > fishingfish_selector.json and put the text from this pastebin in it: https://pastebin.com/WLqyN7TNdata > minecraft > loot_table > gameplay)fishing.json and replace it's contents with the text from this pastebin: https://pastebin.com/wp2zXgMpSorry if this is confusing, just reply if you don't understand something.
You just create one file, paste some stuff in it, then you open another file, and paste some stuff in that. That's it.
I know this is a known bug, but I haven't found a way of fixing it. Me and my friend have been having a ton of fun but as somebody who enjoys progression in games im sad that this feature isn't working. I'm using version 1.12 and any help would be appreciated :)
I found a cooking recipe (a piece of paper) but how do i use it? I tried right and left clicking, putting it into my inventory im not sure how to acsess it.
Hey r/MatchaFlavoured!
I wanted to drop a quick update on the SMP including a full list of features and changes we are implementing for the initial release, with more to come in the future. Many of these have been voted on by the community, which is very much appreciated!
The SMP server IP will be play.mcmatcha.net and we will have an initial cap of 100 players, though I suspect this is likely too high, it is a just in-case number.
You are welcome to save the IP to be ready for release!
August 22nd at 8:00PM EST is the release date and time.
Note: This does not contain everything as I am sure I forgot some stuff.
- High quality server host and server hardware. Should be able to handle a lot of people without a hitch.
- Optimization plugins to help the server handle chunk loading and other things.
- Extensive Anti-Grief and rollback systems, including for the entire server. Griefing should not be a concern.
- Simply faster Minecarts. Yeah that's self explanatory.
- Plugin and consent based opt-in PvP to avoid griefing or random attacks.
- Opt-in Voice Chat with Voice Chat Groups so you can have voice calls in the server, more or less.
- A Matcha guide for new players, this coupled with our guide channels (which will be updated before launch) should make the new player experience butter smooth.
- A way to immediately unlock Matcha recipes for individuals who have already played Matcha numerous times. This does not unlock advancements.
- Minimal monetization specifically to keep the server running as it is expensive. Cosmetics do not break gameplay immersion and are very cheap.
- No access to the End for the first 2 weeks.
- Player hearts are displayed under usernames in a simple and non-disruptive manner.
- Instanced based loot, including Elytras.
- A new Matcha friendly way to obtain Obols via Villager trading, courtesy of tankieaibem.
- Limited Matcha friendly teleport to home system as the poll for this was pretty much 50/50, courtesy of mekka40.
- Animated Matcha textures for eating and many other items, courtesy of clmaxii.
- Numerous balance changes, mostly for multiplayr balance.
- >!Amber!< is now easier to find inside >!Trail Ruins!<
- >!Rubys!< now spawn within >!Fortress!< loot tables.
- >!Hellspore (Nether Wart)!< now spawns within >!Fortress!< loot tables.
- >!Anemos!< has been added back to >!Maces!<.
- The >!Anemos!< recipe has been made more expensive.
- The >!Zephyr!< recipe has been made *slightly* more expensive.
- Enderman do not pick up blocks.
- Creepers do not destroy blocks upon exploding.
- Husks now burn in the sunlight.
- Bug fixes.
- Hidden secrets.
Note: I am open to debating these changes or adding them to polls!
- Not debatable: I'd like to add more pride banners if possible, including the :blahaj:
- I want to make it so Elder Guardians can respawn if possible.
- I would like to make it so Obols do not drop from mobs spawned from specifically spawners.
- Consistent future updates and changes based on community feedback and Matcha balancing.
I've been slowly adding more to my world, I’ve added a shopping district and grown the farming area :) Also my villagers are multiplying naturally! This data pack really makes you appreciate a slower game experience, I'm loving it!!
(I know rule 4 says "Add Flair" but I genuinely can't find how to do that. I googled it and everything but it's like the feature never got toggled on in the backend, or I have a UI glitch. I hope the mods are merciful and don't smite me for it)
So I started a fresh game of Matcha flavored using this lovely seed: -8031689365522390945
It plonks you right on top of a village with a ruined nether portal REALLY close by, that has a chest with some loot.
Out of that chest I got a golden axe with Mending I on it. I know by default mending does its thing when you pick up experience orbs, but as we all know matcha flavored technically got rid of that(though I do still hear the ding of me picking it up)
I don't THINK I've seen the durability bar go back up at all, but for a gold axe I DO feel like it's survived an unusually long time.
Can someone who's a bit more in the weeds than I am lemmie know if this mending enchantment is a vestigial holdover from vanilla minecraft or if there's a new mechanic I'm missing?
EDIT: Forgot to include my version. 1.12 using minecraft Java 26.2
basically ive succesfully updated the actual datapack, i can see and craft the new items, however they are textureless. I've tried downloading the 1.02 texture pack and uploading it but when i open the minecraft resource pack loader it is still the 1.01 one, anyone had similar issues or know the fix?
hi, i'm kind of lost on how to not freeze to death. i was boating through the frozen ocean biome when i saw a ship wreck. i dove down to loot it and basically instantly died. my death screen says "froze to death." is there anyway to prevent freezing?
i am being ONE tapped atop a FIVE block height difference by a husk with a spear
this doesn't feel fair and it's not fun
you are punishing me for not having powerful weapons and armor when i want to build, and they do NOT despawn during the day
I havent played newer versions in a while, whats the best way to obtain them? I have to admit they currently really limit me, im not sure if im supposed to start killing withers?
... Also i cant find the flairs so apologies for that. I dont use reddit that much.
