How bad is sand for a meepo board?

Have a vacation to an Island in Florida coming up. I was really excited to bring my Meepo V5 Go (belt driven) until I started to think about the sand. I certainly will avoid it if possible, but I know the sand blows onto the roads/sidewalks so it's a little unavoidable.

Thoughts on the Meepo in sandy/beach locations?

Thanks and happy boarding!!

My Stuttering Board

So about 3 days ago, my board started doing this. Whenever I get on the board it’s like it loses power and gets it back again repeatedly. I’m holding the accelerator all the way and it keeps doing this, i’ve also heard a knocking sound too whenever it happens.

Sometimes though, i’ll hold the accelerator and the board goes perfectly fine, without jittering, but the second I apply weight and stand on the board it jitters again. I’m not sure if this is something I can fix, or if I just need to buy a new board but please lmk!

Meepo V2 losing speed

Hey there!

I've been cruising on the Meepo V2S for quite a while. Bought it used back in early 2023 and have used it almost daily every summer since.

Today I noticed that the motors (?) have lost quite a lot of speed. It's not noticable when cruising at lower speed, but today when I was feeling like going a little faster I noticed the board topped out at 27KM/H, which is way less than the 35KM/H i used to get out of it. Probably more actually, but I haven't felt comfortable going faster than that yet. I just know that it had more power to give ;P. The motors still feel quite powerful when accelerating, the only difference now is that it tops out way lower than before. This probably didn't happen overnight, I only noticed it now as I don't always go all out. And yes, they're the original motors that came with the board. Probably 6+ years old by now...

I listened to the motors when I got back home, and I can hear a clear inconsistency in the speed. Even when having full throttle, you could hear fluctuations in all speed modes. I doubt that it's the controller as I tried fidgeting with the trigger but didn't hear any noticable difference. Still feels responsive and smooth to me when riding.

I'm guessing it's the motors being on their last breath, but I'd like a second opinion. I'm thinking of buying new motors instead of a new board as I enjoy recycling and repairing more than buying new. The battery still has AMAZING range so I don't feel like I *HAVE* to buy a new board yet ;P

Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

21mph and Already Fighting for My Life

Hey all!
Just got a Meepo Go and I’m still pretty new to eskating overall. I’ve been messing around with the advanced controller settings and I’m kinda confused about the “Motor Run Mode” options, specifically Hybrid vs FullSense. What’s the actual difference in riding feel? Which one do most people use/recommend?

Also, my board is only topping out around 21 mph in Sport(Or shld I leave it on duty) mode even though Meepo advertises up to 28 mph. Is there some setting I’m missing, or is that speed only under ideal conditions? I’m around 200 lbs if that matters.

Another thing I wanted to ask is what brake percentage you guys use. I’m trying to find a good balance where the brakes are strong enough but not so aggressive that they throw me forward.

And finally, any tips for new riders? Especially for avoiding speed wobble at higher speeds. Right now anything above ~15 mph starts feeling sketchy and unstable lol.

Would appreciate any advice/tuning recommendations from more experienced riders.
