TL:DR: Is Meepo as bad as reddit says or as good as you tube promises?

I would like to buy my first electric longboard and I am looking for an all terrain. Meepo Rover is the most budget friendly choice and youtube is filled with dozens of youtubers that received the board for free and say it's the best thing ever. On the other side on reddit I read a lot of malfunctioning, bad customer experience etc...

I am quite confused, do all electric longboard require as much attention as meepo? Would you generally recommend it?

For reference I am based on EU, are there any other brands you would recommend available here?

I have a V3S (not the V3 Standard), and the battery has gone dead.

I have a friend with skills to build me an ER battery, but I was reading some about a VESC swap?

What do you all recommend? Sorry Meepo, but I dont want to pay the $180 for replacing the 6ah battery (and definitely don't want to pay $300 for an 8ah one).
