I want that more messy sort of textured look. How do I do that?

Currently 31 years old and have been thinning for the past few years. I wish it was just receding, but it’s really thinning in the front. Any advice?

Hi!

I've posted on this sub before and a fade was recommended to me. I'm happy with it, but I recently learned that there are several types of fades. I'd like to know, if anyone can see, which one would suit me best. I was thinking of a mid-fade, but to shorten the top a bit.

By the way, if anyone thinks a different hairstyle would suit me better, feel free to suggest it.

which hairstyle suits me the most? I’m quite conflicted and switch up often. Which one makes me look the oldest and which one the youngest? i keep buzzing and growing, it’s a never ending cycle.

EDIT: thank to everyone for your opinion and constructive feedback, it’s greatly appreciated!! For some clarity: pictures 3 and 4 are not my natural texture and it’s a perm. I loved it but shaved it due to the nature of the maintenance that comes with perms (straight growth at the root). The feedback with the mustache was definitely a wake up call for me and I shaved it with some convincing from my wife’s side and y’all’s side. I never liked the way it looked either way and was just afraid of looking young as I already get perceived as underage when I’m 24. Most recent picture is the first one and I think I’ll be going for a mix between picture 5 and 6 with a possible perm in the future with a looser texture for easier maintenance. Again, thank you very much!

Any feedback on the hairstyles and facial hair would be appreciated?

first two pictures are me, I am 18 if that matters, I have medium-coarse straight hair and I'd like to style my hair into the specific hairstyle in the pictures, do I need more length or can I already style it to look similar? do I need to use specific products?

note that in my pictures I had no conditioner on so that is what my hair currently looks like naturally.
