Looking good for the big bosses

This Saturday my ex is getting married. We were together for 16 years and are still best friends. We got together when we were 18 so we are pretty intertwined in each others families, so my two younger brothers and parents will be attending the wedding. My ex and their partner are afab non-binary and have a lot of queer friends coming to the wedding. Though my parents have seen me in a long kilt-like skirt once they’ve never really seen my queerer side I’m taking this as an opportunity to “out myself” a bit more.

I’m currently leaning yellow skirt with knee highs because it feels more fun and summery. Though tulle and tux is a pretty cool one too, but feels a little boring and might be too warm…

Any ideas for how to style and accessorize as well as general I put much welcome! 🤗

ETA: the dresscode is ”not too formal, what ever makes you feel fabulous”.

Guys need more options to keep cool in a heatwave, changed to a T shirt as the flannel one worn is too thick :)

Although this isn't a dress or a skirt, a jumpsuit is technically a dress-like / a skirt-like garment 😻💓

I have actually been going out and doing some exploring like this. Encountered more than a few people and no one has said anything or given me a second look.

I made the skirt myself, it’s my first time sewing or wearing a skirt and I don’t know if it looks okay :P
