Anyone tried a bigger tire?

EQS sedan.

Im switching from 25545x20 to 21”s and trying to decide which tire im going to get for the wheels that keeps comfort, looks, etc. Oem spec state i should go with 265 40 but the eqs wheel arc is so big that im considering something with more beef like a 275 40 21. I can go square setup and rotate or go with something bigger than 295 35 in the rear.

What tyres are you guys rocking?

My tyres are almost at their end of life, noticing a little bulging in them so I guess it's time for a new set of shoes. I found turanza t005 EVs for a great deal but I've seen mix reviews on them. What tyres would you guys recommend. The Pirellis that my car originally came with isn't too great on the thread life department, so I wish to maybe switch it up a little

2023 EQS 580 Help me rate the deal

Looking at this 2023 EQS 580. Pinnacle trim. 15k miles. Body in great shape. Not thrilled about after market wheels.
Interior is nearly perfect tho there are a few chips on the hard part of the console lid where it meets.
Does anyone have feedback on the deal? Any advice? Anything I should watch out for?

Edit- I bought at 54k. 15k miles. Pinnacle trim which has every option. New tires in April so I should be good for a year ( you guys said these things chew up tires and my EV experience confirms). Msrp was 134 new. It feels like a decent deal. Pick the car up tomorrow.

Not charging, help

Car not charging, please advise on next steps

- when I park car at home and plug in the charger it starts charging for about 12 seconds and then says "charging was interuppted" and "vehicle not charging" in the MB app

- normally just plugging it in launches the 80% charge setting I have in the MB app

- on the EVIQO app, it says that it is 'online' and 'plugged in' and I fi click 'start' on the app, it charges for about 12 seconds and then says 'session summary' and its over. I have the app set to "plug & charge" so I really shouldn't have to do anything.

I've gone in circles, quit apps, turned off power, unplugged, and every variation, but nothing is working

I have:

- 2023 EQS 450 4matic
- EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger, 40-48 Amp, J1772 for Non-Tesla EVs, 25ft Cable, WiFi (2.4GHz) Smart App, Weatherproof Indoor/Outdoor (IP66, NEMA 4), UL & ETL Certified, Hardwired 240V, 11.5kW

Any changes mid-2023 for SUV?

Found a 2023 EQS SUV with production date of December 2023 that I’m considering buying CPO. Were all 2023 vehicles the same or did they make any changes late in the model year?

23 EQS SUV 450 4MATIC, Exclusive Trim with seat upgrades but no HUD, no hyperscreen, 3rd row. Offer price $53K, but I’m going to negotiate that a bit.

Edit: 22k miles and it’s a CPO. Forgot to mention that. And this is only the list price with zero negotiation. Thoughts on a fair price are appreciated.

2023 580 for 52k or 2024 450 for 55k

Looking to get an EQS and I'm stuck on the brakes and heat pump with a slightly bigger battery on the 2024. The 580 2024 will be over budget. So I have to decide on a 2023 580 vs a 2024 450.

Let's say the 23 has 20k miles and the 2024 has 16k miles.

It's will be my wife's car and she said the 2023 580 the brakes seem fine. I still want her to try the 2024 450.

She wanted the hyperscreen so older 450 won't work.

Warm climate, no snow so heat pump might not matter. But extra year warranty seems nice. The 23 sold new in 24 and the 24 sold new in 25.

She loves her existing 2019 CLS 450, this is my only electric car option she will go for, I kinda wanted a lucid....lol.

I daily a model x with FSD.

Tire size on 450+

I was looking at the Pirelli Scorpion Zero AS Plus 3 Elect, but it seems if I go with the elect version the tires would need to be 265/45/21. My current size is 265/40/21.

A. Has anyone used these tires and would they recommend them?

B. Has anyone put 265/45/21 on the EQS 450+ sedan? do they fit? Rub?

C. Would you recommend the non elect version at the standard size?

D. Lastly what other tires might you recommend? I keep coming back to these Pirelli, the MIchelin CrossClimate2 and the continental DW06. I currently run stock Bridgestone turanza run flat EV and they have worn terribly.

I am in Oklahoma so we do get all seasons and I'd prefer an All season tire. We also can get pretty heavy rain. I don't drive very heavy footed.

Considering a ‘23 EQS 580 SUV

40k miles. Lease return. CPO. All options including 3rd row and Manufaktur paint:) Asking $58k from MB dealer that sold it and has done all of the service.

I am driving a 2016 S550 that is starting to get expensive to service. Is this a good next car? I would like to drive it for at least five years without too many issues.

Any and all informed opinions are appreciated:)

Goodyear Touring MO tires and CPO

Hello, I just bought a 2023 EQS 450 CPO. They had to put on new tires for it to CPO. The tires they put on were Goodyear Touring MO tires. The car did not come with an inflation kit. The dealer is telling that these are run flat tires and therefore an inflation kit is not necessary, which I would agree with, if the tires were run flat tires. Everything that I can find, is that MO tires are not run flat. MOE tires are run flat, but they don't have MOE tires installed. Am I missing something?

I purchased a low-mileage 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 4MATIC SUV from Mercedes-Benz of Plano.

For the first two months, everything seemed normal. Then, after leaving a car wash and while moving in very slow traffic, I was holding the brake pedal. The moment I released the brake, the vehicle suddenly surged forward with extreme force and slammed into the car in front of me.

I brought the vehicle to the dealership’s body shop for repairs, including cracked grille covers, sensors, and damage from the collision. The repairs took an entire month, and during that time, I was denied a loaner vehicle.

After finally picking up the car, I test-drove it and parked in front of the shopping center. I shifted the vehicle into PARK and removed my foot from the brake pedal. Instantly, the vehicle violently lunged forward on its own and crashed into a concrete pillar less than two feet away.

The impact deployed two airbags, and I was left shocked and briefly unconscious.

If a person had been standing in front of that vehicle, this could easily have been fatal.

Police were called to the scene, and eventually, Mercedes arranged for the vehicle to be towed back to the dealership where I purchased it.

It has now been over two weeks since this second incident, and I still have not received meaningful communication or support from the dealership. I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA customer service multiple times, and each time I am simply told that the issue has been “reported” and that I needed to wait.

To make matters worse, I am STILL being denied a loaner vehicle despite the severity of the incidents and the obvious safety concerns.

I am posting this because consumers deserve to know about serious safety issues and the lack of accountability I have experienced. I trusted this brand with my safety, and right now I feel completely abandoned.

The worst nightmare with no help from Mercedes-Benz. I welcome any help or experience to help me open my eyes.

Just bought a CPO 2023 Mercedes EQS 450 a week ago and noticed a pretty noticeable humming/vibration noise around 55–65 mph on the right front side every time we curve right. Dealer test drove it with us and confirmed they could hear it, but came back saying “it’s just the tires and is normal, that's just the way it is". There's no other issues they found and the car otherwise drives fine.

Trying to figure out if this is actually normal EQS behavior or if we’re being brushed off.

For other EQS owners:

  • Do your cars make a noticeable humming/drone during right turns at highway speeds?
  • Has anyone had this turn out to be wheel bearings, tire cupping, foam tires, etc.? I believe we have the run flat tires.
  • If it was tire-related, did rotating the tires fix it? Our tread on all 5 tires is around 5.85.

Would appreciate any insight since this is a very recent CPO purchase and we’re trying to determine what’s actually “normal.”
