What happened in the snakepit/front of the crowd tonight?

Sat right above the walkway to the stage.

First some lad gets escorted out by load of high vis but looks quite peaceful, maybe he was injured?

Then probably some 15 minutes later some big lad is scrapping wth the yellow top security and being dragged out down the walkway.

Fighting?

Seated tickets etiquette for standing up - your experiences?

Maybe I lucked out, but everyone in my section was standing up for basically every song, it was awesome and really great energy, lots of headbangers. My friend in a different section however got yelled at by someone for obstructing their view by standing up. What is the done thing?

5/7/26 London - M72

Of the 12 M72 shows across 6 countries that I’ve attended - including both the very first & very last shows of this tour - this was the absolute best of the bunch. The crowd were amazing, the setlist really fed off of that too and we were blessed with some absolute bangers to top it off. The crowd could’ve passed for South American for how it was for Bellz, the sound was vastly improved (didn’t feel the bass of One as much though😔) and the boys were in fantastic form as per. Tonight was an absolute party and was topped off by getting Blackened & The Memory Remains with no Until It Sleeps FINALLY breaking the curse of constantly getting it! Great night, the only regret was not standing. Hopefully they come back here sooner rather than later, the stadium is great for it and bloody easy to travel to and from.

To the lucky people that saw metallica in the 80s/90s, what was it like?

Im one of the unfortunate people who wasn’t even alive in their ”peak” years. I’ve seen them live a handful of times over the past couple years, but I’ve always wondered what it would’ve been like to see them live back then. smaller venues, younger, less formal and all that.

If anyone is here is one of the lucky blokes who went to one of their shows back then, what was it like? Even if nothing ”crazy" happened, I’m just interested in hearing someone’s personal experiences.

(I’m not at all implying that they’re worse now than they were back then, obviously not. I love the lads they’re bloody greater than ever. However so much was different back then like no phones, different style blah blah blah. I just wanna hear about peoples experiences, before anyone tries implying that i’m saying something which i’m not)

Cheers!

IMHO the snake pit stage is bad

Right now Avatar are on stage and the band is only facing 1/4 of the standing crowd in the pitch.

The rest of us have to see what's happening through the giant monitors with a very bright sunshine on them.

Can't really engage much.

What do you think?

EDIT

Some people are so butt hurt apparently. Ooooh, cry me a river.

Metallica where awesome both days, same with all the other acts. So happy to have listened to Orion, Call of Cthulhu, Unforgiven, The day thay never comes to name a few.

I've been going to metal gigs for the past 20+ years, first time I saw Metallica using this kind of stage. The whole concert energy goes up and down, depending on if you have the band facing your side. When they are there, it rocks! When they leave, you feel like a deflating balloon, and it goes like that.

Circual stages are only good for filming the band for marketing and promos.

Anyone driving to London via M40 - don't!

M40 is closed. Been sat here for almost an hour, havent moved an inch. No idea how long it's going to be for. Loads of ambulances/police gone past so looks like a bad one.

Looks like im going to miss it, which is gutting, just hoping any late leavers see this and take another route!

Poster sold out??

Anyone else find that the poster sold even quicker today? Been looking around for an hour and a half on top of the queue earlier and instead I've found people with 5+ in bags

Naive question: why do the opening acts only get half the screen?

When Knocked Loose and Gojira played, they only used the upper half of the screens, while the lower half showed the London logo (or the logo of whatever city they were playing in). But when Metallica came on, they used the full screens. It felt a bit petty to me.

On the positive side, the sound quality was essentially the same for Gojira and Metallica. It was about what I would expect in a stadium, not particularly good, but not particularly bad either.

Question about Seated Tickets

First-time metal concert-goer here - me and my gf have two tickets for fairly far back seating on Sunday night London. I was expecting that, even though we are 'seated' tickets, we would be able to stand and properly enjoy the show. However, tiktoks from night 1 seem to show that people are sitting during Metallica's set? Is this simply what you are meant to do? Can anyone from night 1 seated let me know whether you and others were standing? Thanks

Is there anyway to predict the set list for tomorrow in London?

Hi, going to the concert tomorrow with my dad and saw the setlist that they played last night, so is it likely that they’ll play any of those again or will it be completely different like I heard it would be?

If this is the case are there any predictions other than Enter Sandman which must be played!

Thanks

Anyone have a last minute ticket for Metallica's show later today (Sunday 5th July)?

I am trying to look for a last minute ticket for Metallica's show later today. I've tried all the website, but they are so expensive, which surprised me.

If anyone has a spare last minute ticket, please drop me a message, it would be very much appreciated!

Best Westfield car park?

Hey everyone! Last night was incredible in London, Metallica were phenomenal!

Information for Sunday night needed!

I just wanted to know if anyone else struggled to get out of the other Westfield car parks last night and if so what was the main cause? I was in car park C, managed to get a spot right near the entrance but still took an hour to get out due to road works nearby.

Did anyone have better experiences in car parks A or B? I need to get back home at a good time for a flight early hours Monday morning so wanted as much sleep as possible 😂

Thanks for taking the time to help! 🤘

Start time, Queues, Crowds

What is the start time for Avatar? If we can reach the Stratford tube by around 4pm, is there enough time to have pint and enter general standing admission, get another pint inside before Avatar.

How crowded it is going to be if looking to be somewhere in the centre. Is it easy to step out for toilet breaks?

Thanks
