Berlin possible setlist?

Hi everyone, does anyone have some ideas what ‘wildcard’ songs they will play at the Berlin show on may 30th? I’m curious what you would want to see played and what you think they will play. I really hope they will play fade to black instead or the day that never comes, not that I don’t like it, I just find fade to black better personaly.

Great show, awful stage

I've seen Metallica live 6 times, three of them with the 360 stage, and honestly I have such mixed feelings about it.

I've experienced it both seated and GA.

Seats usually mean bad sound in stadiums, GA had much better sound but visibility was awful. Even though I thought we were not that far from the stage, the view was very often obstructed by those huge-ass towers + a bunch of people in Lux Aeterna premium seats.

I feel like we might have just landed in one of the worst spots possible, because not only that but also the stage is not flat, and the space right in front of us was lower than some other parts so even when the band was right in the front, we could barely see them through the smartphones cause ofc everyone would start filming then.

I'm a bit over 6' so I could still see 'something' but my wife was basically watching the screens all the time. It was so baffling when Creeping Death started, we could hear them but couldn't see them like, at all.

Is it only our experience? So far I've generally seen a lot of praise for the current stage.

TL;DR

360 stage seems like it's much better for a very small percentage of people who are either really close or pay ridiculous amount of money for the Pit or other "premium" experiences, but all the rest gets a much worse experience than with a regular stage.

Front-of-stage wristband area, still a thing this year?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there will once again be a separate area around the stage where wristbands are handed out to people who arrive very early, specifically for this weekend’s shows in Frankfurt. At the concerts in Amsterdam and Munich there were such sections, although that was quite a while ago.

Does anyone have any experience with this from this year’s shows? From the pictures I’ve seen so far, it looks to me like this area might not exist anymore.

When to get in Snake Pit line? First time /need tips

Hello!

I’m so excited to be in the Snake Pit for the first time!

From what I understand, some people may get earlier access to the pit than those with the regular Snake Pit package, which is the ticket I have. I’m hoping to get a spot in the lower section of the stage, front row.

How early would you recommend arriving at the venue?

I have no problem showing up very early, since this is probably my best chance to see them up close. I was thinking of arriving around 8:00 AM, but is that overkill?

For comparison, I had the Frantic early-GA tickets in Copenhagen in 2024. I arrived around 11:20 on the first day and 10:00 on the second day, and I still managed to get pretty good front-row spots.

Any tips, experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

First time at Metallica concert

Hey guys, I've been listening to Metallca for almost 5 years now, and this Sunday i'll go to my first ever concert as 19yo. I dreamed about this moment forever. Are there any suggestions for first timers, I would be more than proud if i lose my voice from singing every single song they play. Thank y'all #met4life

What's the Coolest Stage Setup You've Ever Seen at a Concert?

What's the coolest stage setup you've ever seen at a concert? I know arenas and stadiums can be annoying places to see concerts, but one perk to seeing shows there are the insane stage setups you could never bring to life in more intimate settings. Some bands get really creative and find ways to make the stage itself a unique part of the live experience. One band I'd say typically does that is Metallica - case in point, take a look at these clips from their show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Oct. 25, 2018 (always love seeing Metallica in the round, but they really went above and beyond with the interactive ceiling screens). Then again, I'm really critical with the stage setup they've been using on the M72 World Tour... but that's a conversation for another time 😉

Share your picks for the coolest stage setups you've seen firsthand in the comments below. And stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like the one seen in these clips)!

I need advice for Metallica Frankfurt Concert

Hello guys,

I am going to the Metallica concert on friday in Frankfurt. This will be my first metallica concert and I want to have the best experience possible.

To have a good view during the concert, I want to be inside the circle.

When should I be there according to your experiences?

And, do you have any other tips or recommendations? I’ve never been to a concert like this in standing area.

Edit: I forgot to draw the circle. by 'inside the circle', I mean the general standing area that is enclosed by the ring of giant LED screens shown on the map.

Tickets not showing up after purchase

Hello everyone,

For months, I wasn’t sure if I could even go to the M72 Berlin shows, so I kept refreshing the page every now and then hoping Frantic tickets would become available again. A couple days ago, I finally saw Frantic tickets available for purchase and immediately bought one.

The purchase went through, I got charged, everything looked normal, except the ticket never appeared under “Upcoming Events” in my account.

So I contacted Ticketmaster support just asking why the ticket wasn’t displaying and how to fix it. Instead of answering my question, they completely removed my ticket and refunded me without any explanation or warning.

Today I tried again from my main account because I thought maybe the issue was related to the other account. Same exact thing: purchase successful, charged normally, but the ticket still does not appear in Upcoming Events.

Now I’m honestly scared to even contact support again because last time they just canceled the order instead of helping.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Does anyone know why tickets would not display after purchase, or why support would randomly refund/remove them instead of fixing the issue?

I’m not trying to cancel or refund anything. I literally just want my ticket to show up properly in my account.

I’m also considering Budapest because my schedule actually aligns with those dates too. Do you think Live Nation could still release more Frantic tickets closer to the show date? Even GA seems completely sold out now.

TL;DR: Bought M72 Berlin Frantic tickets twice, payment went through both times but the ticket never appeared in Upcoming Events. First time support refunded/canceled it instead of helping. Afraid to contact them again. Also wondering if Budapest could still get last minute Frantic ticket releases.

Anybody selling Snake Pit Frankfurt shows?

I’m interested.

I “have” Snake Pit for both Frankfurt shows but the stubhub seller hasn’t digitally transferred them to me yet and I’m freaking out. Traveling from the U.S.

Pop-up stores

Hello, I’m planning to visit the pop-up store in Frankfurt, but I’d prefer to go later in the afternoon/evening (when there’s no line). I’m not interested in the exclusive items. I just want to buy a tour t-shirt and some other regular merchandise. Do I really need to go in the morning to get those things?

My second question is: have you seen any items that were not available at the pop-up store but were available at the concert venue’s store?

Thank you!

Advice on selling these tickets!

I managed to get 2 tickets for the two day experience at the Sphere on Oct 22 and 24. Killer seats in section 103. Unfortunately, life is getting in the way and I can’t go. 😭 I’d like to just make my money back. I paid $4200 for the pair. I listed them on stubhub and tick pick but curious if anyone here has any advice how to unload these legitimately…?

Golden Circle entry timing

Ticketmaster says the show starts at 5:30 PM. I have GA Presales Golden Circle tickets and wanted to ask when gates usually open and how early I should arrive if I want to get closer to the stage?

Concert sound quality

Hey guys!

I will attend the first concert in Budapest and im curious what sound quality i can expect. I will be sitting in second ring on the long side not center but more or less half way from center to the corner.

My first metallica show was in budapest in 2018, indoor arena sound was great.

Where they will play now in Puskas stadium i attended 2 concerts, Rammstein i was sitting sound was for me great, Imagine Dragons i was sitting also and sound was meh. Additionally i attended Iron Maiden and RHCP in stadium in Vienna and both cases the sound was horrible.
Last year there was also GnR in this stadium in Budapest and while i was not there i read that the sound was very bad.

I would be curious from comments from Athens and Bucharest how was it from the different sectors and also if anyone has some past experience or happen to be expert in sound engineering please feel free to comment. Also i read that openers before Metallica always sound bad?
Please guys feel free to share any comments

Im a bit terrified and if will have again bad experience with a stadium after last year Maiden i will prohibit myself ever buying ticket to such places.

Going to Dublin for Metallica, things to know?

Never been to Ireland. We're staying for 5 nights to add some buffer days and recovery. I know Dublin is expensive. I want to see the Guiness museum

When do I need to be at the venue to get city specific merch?

Hi Metallica family,

I'll be attending the Berlin show.

Does anyone have an idea how long after doors open the city specific merch (poster, shirt) will be sold out? Any advice on how to score those?

Is the doors open time already announced?

Thanks and rock on!
