Hi everyone.
I know there are similar posts already on this matter but I would appreciate your input as I don't have any experience with Meze headphones particularly.
Right now I mainly use my Arya Organics with k13 r2r. I really enjoy this setup - the sound is immersive yet very detailed. But you know how this hobby goes.. you always search for different experiences. So I i'm looking for something to complement my Organics for more relaxed listening sessions where I don't have to focus on detail so much and maybe listen to some lower res music on youtube.
I lean more towards Silvas as they are something in between aer and 109 pro and also the price is a little more friendly. Also aesthetically I think I like them the most. Aesthetics is quite important for me.
What could you suggest?
And sorry for my English.
Thanks.
Stacked coupons and was able to get the M3 Ultra for $75. Absolutely blown away. It's genuinely transformative. Previously I had been using a Schiit Vestri. Everything is still there, but what the Muse does for the bass and vocals adds so much of the emotion back to the music. This is somewhat genre specific and may not apply to your particular taste in music, but I find most dongles with either the CS or ESS Sabre chips to be overly clinical. Listening to someone like Vic Chesnutt or Jason Molina, the vocals are too flat and too clean. Adding just a splash of tube puts them front and center and allows the beautifully idiosyncratic distortion shine through. There's an emotional connection that's been restored. Would be interested to know what open backs the Muse might play well with. Anyways, for ~$100 this feels like a steal.
Just wanted to share my 105 Silva since it has become one of my top 3 headphones.
I really enjoy listening to these. Everything about the tuning just works for me. The bass is honestly at the perfect level — enough to make music fun and enjoyable without being too much. The treble is also really good and detailed, but it never feels harsh or fatiguing to me.
And the build quality… honestly, nothing comes close. They feel so premium in the hands and on the head. The design is beautiful too.
I’ve tried quite a few headphones, but these are one of the ones I can just put on and enjoy without thinking too much about the sound.
Review of the Meze Arta from Minidisc
Here is a brief impressions video of the Meze Audio 99 Classics v2.
The summary is that I am having a difficult time with getting a good fit/seal and that is impacting the sound. However, if the stars align, the sound is a decent warm-neutral take with a very slight midrange recession and adequate treble/detail.
I think Meze should release some headphone rings that clip into the 99 Classics v2 and allow for aftermarket pads.
Has anyone listened to these? Thoughts?
