Help on billing and inventory management software

Hey everyone,
I need urgent recommendations for a fast, reliable billing and inventory management system for a single retail footwear store.
Our Situation:
My mom started our family footwear business with a small shop, where she eventually picked up a basic billing software recommended by a friend. However, the system is painful to use, and support from their team is virtually nonexistent.
Our main flagship store has always been run completely manually. With our inventory being 2 to 3 times larger than the small shop, keeping track of everything manually is unsustainable. We are opening our new main store in two weeks and want to digitize everything with a proper POS system built from scratch.
Inventory & Volume:
Scale: We carry 5,000 to 6,000 pairs regularly, going up to 8,000–10,000 pairs during peak seasons/festivals.
Footwear Variants: Must handle size/color/article/style matrixing efficiently and support fast barcode generation and scanning.
Speed & Ease of Use: High counter speed during rush hours with minimal setup friction.
Support: Reliable customer support with prompt response times for troubleshooting.
Questions for the community:

  1. What POS software do you recommend for high-volume apparel or footwear single-store setups?
  2. How did you handle initial barcode tagging and stock entry for 5,000+ SKUs quickly?
  3. Any software or red flags to completely avoid?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Metal Handicrafts Business

Hey everyone,
Wanted to share something close to home (literally). My family runs a metal handicrafts business out of Moradabad, India — which is basically the brass capital of the country — and we’ve been manufacturing and exporting home decor for years.
I want to expand into the Indian retail market. Would love any advice or leads to begin.
Everything’s handcrafted: hammered brass vases, wrought-iron planters, Moroccan-style lanterns, antique-finish candelabras, colorful garden pots. We also take on custom work — if you’re a small business, designer, or retailer looking for something specific, we can develop pieces to spec (we do this for export clients already).
Would genuinely love feedback from this community, and happy to connect with anyone in home decor retail, interior design, or import/export.

50 orders completed 🐸💚

50+ orders. 🐸💚
Honestly, this might not sound like a huge number to a lot of people, but for us, it means a lot.
We started JIBBZIT INDIA with a pretty simple idea — make clogs more personal, more fun, and actually representative of the person wearing them.
At the beginning, it was literally just an idea, some products, a lot of experimenting, and me trying to figure everything out along the way. No huge team, no massive marketing budget, no established audience.
Just consistency and the hope that people would actually like what we were building.
And now we’re sitting at 50+ online orders. 📦
What makes me happier than the number itself is knowing that 50+ different people looked at our products and decided to trust a small, growing Indian brand with their money.
Every order has a person behind it.
Someone who found us through a reel.
Someone who sent us a DM.
Someone who recommended us to a friend.
Someone who simply liked the idea enough to give us a chance.
That’s why we don’t really look at our customers as “orders”.
They’re becoming part of the JIBBZIT family. 🐸💚
We’re still very early in this journey, and there’s a LOT we want to improve — better designs, better packaging, more collections, better content, and hopefully a much bigger community around the brand.
We’re building this from Punjab and genuinely want to see how far we can take it.
50+ orders today.
Hopefully someday we’ll look back at this number and remember how small the beginning really was.
For everyone who has supported, ordered, shared, commented, or even just followed along:
Thank you. ❤️
The family is getting bigger. 🐸💚

I invested ₹2.25 lakh into an ice cream business that lasted 4 batches… now I’m stuck with a 10L batch freezer

Honestly, I never thought I’d be making a Reddit post trying to sell an ice cream machine(Left).

A while ago, someone who was already in the ice candy business approached me with an idea to start an ice cream business together. He told me he had experience in the business and knew how to make ice cream, so I thought it was a decent opportunity.

I decided to trust him and invested around ₹2.25 lakh into the setup, which included this 10L continuous batch freezer with a built-in air churner.

The problem started once we actually began.
We made around four batches of ice cream, and that’s when I realised that a lot of the things I had been told about his experience and ability to make ice cream simply weren’t working out in reality.

Eventually, he told me he was going to take his ice-candy-making machine back to his place and that he didn’t want to continue with the partnership.
And that’s basically how I ended up here.

I was prepared to invest in a business and learn the ice cream side of it, but I wasn’t planning on owning an ice cream machine by myself. Now the partnership is over, I’m left with a machine that I don’t really have a use for, and I’d rather recover some of my investment by selling it to someone who actually needs one.

About the machine
It’s a 10L continuous batch freezer with an air churner, and it was used for only around four batches.
It can be used for ice cream, gelato, kulfi and other frozen desserts.

Details:
Machine: Continuous batch freezer
Capacity: 10 L finished ice cream
Approx. mix-to-output: 5 L mix → up to approximately 10 L finished product at 100% overrun
Air churner: Built-in
Refrigeration: Air-cooled
Compressors: Godrej
Motor: Godrej
Compressor/motor warranty: Manufacturer stated 10 years
Body: Jindal Stainless steel
Front: Pressure gauge, digital timer/display, indicator lights and operating controls
Phase: Single

It’s obviously not a brand-new machine anymore, but considering it has only been used for a few batches, I don’t think it has had anywhere close to normal commercial use.

I’m posting here because I figured someone who is already making ice cream, gelato, kulfi, etc. might actually find it useful.

I’m not trying to hide the reason I’m selling it — this was supposed to be part of a business I was investing in, the partnership didn’t work out, and now I need to move the machine on.

Location: Delhi,India
Expected price: ₹1,15,000

I’ll share proper photos and a working video with anyone genuinely interested. You’re also welcome to inspect the machine before making any decision.
If anyone here is interested, or knows someone looking for a 10L commercial/continuous batch freezer with an air churner, feel free to DM me.

I’ve been thinking about how names carry a kind of quiet magic. On their own, they’re just words but when someone lives in them, grows into them, gives them personality… they become something entirely different. Softer, stronger, warmer.

Maybe it’se not the name that defines the person, but the person who gives meaning to the name.

And honestly, I love celebrating that, turning names into something you can see, feel, and keep. If you ever feel like seeing your name in a more personal, aesthetic way, I’d be really happy to create something for you.❤️
