Finished Underground Colonies?

I’ve been searching and haven’t found anyone legitimately using the underground colony style in survival.

I’ve seen the showcases about it, but no actual finished or attempted underground survival colonies.

Does anyone know if there is any documentation around it?

Have big ideas for an underground one, but don’t know how much work it is if it’s worth it. I have other mods on neoforge 1.21.1 so if anyone also has any tips on survival mods that would help me dig out/blow up huge caverns that would be cool.

No way am I’m sitting around and waiting for the builder to dig stuff out

I already have create so I could in theory just build a massive boar, but that would be hard, clunky, and annoying

What's your favourite auto-generated name you've come across?

What has been your favourite citizen name that was naturally occurring?

I've come across an "Undead" and a "Moobien," and they've been my most cherished citizens both times.

Mistletoe?

I have never in all my play-throughs, I have never built the alchemist tower. So I have no idea how to get mistletoe. I have an outstanding request for mistletoe for about two weeks. They have shears, their hut is level 5, they have baller stats. WTH? What am I missing?

Não sei como o SD aguenta, sendo LCD 256gb mas ele esta indo muito bem, jogo o Minecolonies e ele só para porque o Prismlauncher encerra as atividades do Minecraft quando chega ao limite de linhas de códigos

Packs using biome trees

Are there any decent mine colonies packs that use other trees besides vanilla? So many packs with mine colonies include Oh the Biomes. Or Biomes o Plenty and I was wondering if there are alternative wood styles. I get a bit sick of starting everything with oak or spruce

Arcology Pack

I just finished a fortress playthrough, and that pack was fun but was a lot to handle in my first(ish) go. I started a playthrough with the Arcology style pack. I LOVE IT.

-All buildings based on 5x5 squares
-They all connect nicely
-I used a blank 3x3 one for my own housing
-Minimal mats
-Ability to build vertically
-Everything is close together

I would highly suggest this one to newer players/ someone looking for a nice easy breezy playthrough. (ignore the starter camp thats still there on the left)

Another day, Another 'My Guards are Dumb' screenshot

https://preview.redd.it/m66x5s3xwn1h1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=654f96273fe1a78393b140d5309db2c2f02bd167

This beautiful screenshot serves as proof that my guards all share one collective brain cell. Mariam clearly suffers from narcolepsy which is the only explanation for why she is sleeping on a ladder. Jayla is testing whether osmosis can happen between two colonoists and Alexis....well they are contemplating whether to stay in this dysfunctional undersea colony or to take their chances on the high seas above.

Please feel free to contribute your own 'My colonists are dumb' screenshots for my amusement.

Do borders contract if you deconstruct what was expanding them?

Basically I wanted to preemptively expand my borders a bit since I'm following a specific plan. I built a guard tower and it seemed to expand normally, but when I deconstructed it, the borders seem to go back to normal (Note there were no other buildings nearby). Does That mean I just have to keep the guard towers in place while expanding the borders? Additionally, if I deconstruxt the guard tower after building the new structure, but the structure're natural land claims don't actually reach my old border, what happens (like levl 1 guard towers claim a 2 chunks, whay ig I build a building in chunk 2 that has a 1 chunj radius?

Starting over in a new world. What style should I use (I found oak, birch, dark oak and spruce) and how does the fortress style work?

Basically my first builder got shot by pillagers and I didn't have a recent backup so I'm starting a new world (I also kinda like the feeling of restarting with more insight). I wanted to try a new style this time so I wanted suggestions based on what I have and what isn't too irritating to build. Also I wanted to ask about how the fortress style is meant to be built. I get its based on chunks and the buildings seem tho connect. However I don't get what the tiny rail area next to the buildings is about and how exactly I'm supposed to connect everything since the book in the starting camp seems to not have saved the text

Questions about fortrees style

So I've started building in the fortress style following a guide and I had a few questions. Are all the buildings that are 16 by 16 or 16 by 8 and have straight railways interchangable in placement? Additionally, for the field presets are there any options without the rails because they seem to be independently layed out in the plan I'm following so I'd prefer they just be walking accesed. If not how should I reconfigure the dimensions?

Getting the builders to use any block

I like to use every block I have to build, is there a way I can substitute the building blocks the builders use for any block in the game?

Anyone else used Aquatica style?

Where are my minecolonies aquatica people?! Only they can understand the torment of this seriously cool but seriously annoying pack 😅

Let’s start with the builders. They are clearly allergic to any form of lighting, frequently getting themselves blown up or shot mid build due to removing torches or not placing them until the very end of the build. I have taken to stalking them, wielding my golden hammer, to get lighting sorted so I can leave them to build without them dying.

Then the guards. These dudes take their job seriously. So seriously that they will teleport into a water logged room that is being built and drown. Time and time again. Ive lost count of the race to the town hall block to try to recall them before it’s too late.

And the fisher people. They have a beautiful room with their very own fishing pond. Do they fish in it? Noooo, instead they climb all the way to the surface to fish in the ocean. That wouldn’t be so bad, if they wouldn’t randomly decide it’s time to float off into the horizon, never to be seen again until their death message pops up.

My warehouse is 99% slime balls because apparently my colony is in multiple slime chunks so my guards, in between teleporting and drowning, are forever attacking slimes.

Fun fact, TEN citizens died in the making of the university. It was a dark day, that day.

This is a high maintenance pack to build but 10/10 entertainment, frustration and fun. Would recommend 😂😳😭

Shogun Style Playerhouse

I have built a player house in the Shogun style but when I go to upgrade it, it is all misaligned by about 8 blocks.

This now means to upgrade I need to destroy one of my builders houses.

Anyone seen this issue or know a fix?

Cook in Cookery Not Making Anything

Basically the title ;-; I have 45 citizens who are all hungry and complaining about a small menu. This is likely because I've had to put them on a baked potato diet due to the cookery refusing to make anything. I've taught it recipes, have adjusted the restaurant menu, and have given it the materials it needs, but no dice. What am I missing here? I know that this is an older subreddit, but any help is much appreciated ;-;

What exactly does pickup priority do. Does it prioratize both picking up from inventory and dropping off requests or is it just picking up items?

So my colony has started automating production in a couple of areas now such that I might be getting bottlenecked by courier speed. As such I wanted to understand what pickup priority is so I can slightly optimize their deliveries. Mainly I wanted to know if it is just about picking up items and delivering them too. Also how exactly does the difference in the prioraty matter. Is it just a tiering system where they always do the max tier first before moving onto next , or is it more specific

[1.20.1]I want to use 2-3 warehouse in my colonies, but it is bad i think

I built three warehouses in my colony, but they don't seem to work perfectly together. For example, my building workshop is near an initial warehouse, and the lumberyard is some distance from the city center, so I built a new warehouse near the lumberyard. Now, logs from the lumberyard are prioritized and even entirely sent to the warehouse closest to it. Then, I found that the builders' requests for planks couldn't be met. Even though I set a minimum storage limit for logs in the warehouse near the building workshop, no logs are being transported there; they're all still going to the warehouse closest to the lumberyard. So, are multiple warehouses supported in a colony? If not, will we still need to build the largest warehouse later on?
