Hot Take: Args have gone downhill

Before you attack me: It's not about the quality of the argument in general, it's how they are formed. When you see a YouTube video about an arg, 9 times out of 10 the youtuber made it and had all the answers, and like half of the time there is literally nothing for you to do, and you can't even find the arg yourself. No channel to investigate, no ciphers to decode. They do that themselves. It feels like it changes the entire meaning from telling a fun story to getting subs and likes. Plus, as I said, half of the time they get the args from "emails" or something, so you can't even really see the raw arg. It just feels... wrong.

A stupid arg idea

So I have an arg idea, a couple of friends texted each other to try out Minecraft, of course it would be bugrock (would like to be crossplay so someone else could record it using playback or something) they would text each other and they would play it normally, but one of their friends decided not to join anymore, their profile changed HEAVILY. The group texted each other asking what happened. The dude replied saying they were doing something and had to leave a bit, turns out dude was being held hostage by someone so they had to like drop hints.

Yada yada yada, if anyone is interested please lmk!! I wanna expand it more since it would be fun :3

Why are things changing

I’m scared to go back on. I don’t think i will again idk… I switched it back to peaceful again but still, what if it goes back?

I was playing on my world and I was going to try mining…. Hoping that if i faced a small fear i’d be able to see my friend on the world again and show some of the people that follow me that he’s real…

Just as i was about to drop down into a cave, i looked down and came basically eye to eye with a Enderman down there….

I ran back home just as it was getting dark and when i looked outside, skeletons and zombies were out there…

This world was supposed to be peaceful and last i checked it was….

So why isn’t it?

Current Ehabanero ARG findings.

In this video at 0:40 timestamp there is are items in specific amounts which translated to letters and deciphered from Caesar's cypher say: EHABANERODOTCOM
After entering to ehabanero.com there is a required password that was unknown 'till he posted this video where at 0:09 it shows a password(ProjectClone01). After logging in to ehabanero.com it shows a website with a lot of graphs and visuals but after inspecting the HTML code(Chrome Developer Tools) the only important thing is the link to the unlisted video talking about Ehabanero - Clone Testing Program. I did not find any info about the ARG continuation. This is where I will need YOUR help to find more about this new ARG!

I think I’m in an arg.

me and my friend started a bedrock Minecraft 2 player realm. Fully vanilla no mods added at all, everything seemed normal, we used a mojang seed template (jagged peaks) and stayed in the spawn area for most of the time until about day 10, on day 12 my friend saw what he said to be about 2 or 3 floating trees about 20 blocks apart each. This was maybe 700 at max blocks away from spawn, most likely not a sign of corruption, he later saw a random crafting table in the middle of nowhere, we never went where he found it. then it started showing more signs, I went offline for football, he stayed on, he had gone to the nether in search of ancient debris and while mining a pigmen randomly dropped from the sky and just stared as long as he had it loaded in his chunks, later, he was still mining and in the corner of his eye he saw a fully blacked out figure with quartz in his hand which later disappeared, he was then at our base which I was working on, he saw in his peripheral vision the same blacked out figure now with a white cross on his chest moving its arm and then disappeared. I personally have no record of these things but he is going to keep a clipping software up and a recording of every time he plays, I will put the footage in the comments if seen.

Things are weird

I’ve been making posts on this world and when i took the last picture (i’ve put it here) someone placed a sign there as well. My friend hasn’t been coming around the house lately and i know they weren’t in the world then so i don’t know how it got there.
Could anyone tell me what the sign means? I’m not good with decoding things…

Weird and disturbing book i found in my world

I was mining in my survival singleplayer world, when i came back to my house and started to store the ores i got, i noticed a untitled book and quill on my chest. I never crafted one before, hell, i don't even know how do you craft one of these, and the world is singleplayer, nobody even visited this world before.

I'm quite disturbed by these messages, it seems like there is something inside this world that is obsessed with me? That is so weird and disturbing, no way it's just an easter egg, but i don't know what to do. After i finished reading i just screenshotted the pages and closed the game, before coming here to make this post.

I would like to hear about suggestions on what do i do with this, whatever it is it can see where i am going and seems to be conscious. I'm still in disbelief, maybe it's a intelligent AI from some corrupted mod file? I don't know, but if it's indeed something real, i want ideas on what to do with whatever is in my world.

Hey everyone! We are currently casting voice actors for an upcoming Minecraft ARG.

Below are the details for the open roles.

ROLES & SPECIFICATIONS

  • LEO (Main Subject)
    • Emotional Range Required: Dissociated grief, controlled panic, forced artificial warmth (YouTube persona), relaxed/casual gaming demeanor, genuine terror, and subtle, fragmented recognition/whispering.
    • Estimated Lines: ~35–45 lines (includes several improvised/gameplay sequences).
  • MAYA (Leo's Girlfriend - trapped outside barrier)
    • Emotional Range Required: Bright/enthusiastic warmth, subtle confusion, rising panic/frustration, full raw desperation/pleading, quiet focus, and resigned heartbreak.
    • Estimated Lines: ~20–25 lines (includes brief improvised gameplay).
  • MIA (Leo's Current Girlfriend)
    • Emotional Range Required: Warm, casual, camera-shy, and completely ordinary/grounded throughout (unaware of any underlying ARG narrative).
    • Estimated Lines: ~5–10 lines (includes brief improvised gameplay).

RECORDING & SUBMISSION DETAILS

  • Recording Format: High-quality WAV or MP3 recorded in a quiet room with minimal background noise/reverb. Note: Characters must be recorded in separate sessions.

Is it okay if I make it a analog horror? Because I can't install Minecraft on my laptop right now, and the editing software is too heavy for it, and I don't know what to do. I've gotten myself and some of you all excited, and I can't back out now, and I'm worried and scared.
