I open the launcher, I select my account. A red popup appears that tells me "Something went wrong in the login process", then gives me the option to log in via either Microsoft or Mojang.
I click on the Microsoft option, put in my email, then another popup appears saying "Your device will open a security window. Follow the instructions there to sign in." But the security window never shows up, it just infinitely loads until I close out of everything.
I can login to Minecraft dot net just fine. I can even login to Microsoft's website just fine. But I just can't login through the Minecraft launcher.

• I dunno what version since I can't even get past the login screen so I'll say uhhh 1.21.9 cuz I think that's the last version I played
• No mods, zero at all, 101% vanilla (funny enough I tried playing again BECAUSE I wanted to try and see if I could get mods to work)

I’m writing this on behalf of my younger brother, Ahmad. A few days ago, his Microsoft account was hacked. The hacker changed all the security info, but thanks to a community member named Hunter, we managed to get in touch with a real human support agent at Microsoft named Jason.

Jason took immediate action to protect my brother's data and completely suspended/locked the account to cut off the hacker's access. Today, we received the official investigation results under Service Request SIR23938449.

Microsoft confirmed the unauthorized access, but stated that because the security settings were modified by the hacker, their strict policy prevents them from restoring the account. They literally told us: "If you used this account for Minecraft, we regret to inform you that the game cannot be recovered. A new purchase will be required."

For context, my brother's official Minecraft username is "Ahmad6362" and his Xbox Gamertag is "Ahmad XD#6362".

Here is the thing: We bought this game legally just 1 month and 8 days ago from a well-known local store here in Jordan called Gamers JO. We have the official purchase receipt and the original gift card code used to activate the game. We also have the PC's original Device ID.

We reached out to Minecraft Help Center explaining that we ONLY want to transfer the Minecraft license/profile to a new, secure Microsoft account, as the original one is permanently locked by Microsoft anyway.

However, an agent named Adela M. just sent us a completely robotic, copy-pasted response refusing to look into the case, telling us to go back to the Microsoft recovery form (which is impossible since Microsoft already officially closed the case and locked the account).
(and tbh she helped us with nothing not even 1%)

My brother is absolutely devastated. He saved up for this game, bought it legally, and now Mojang support won't even look at our transaction ID or proof of ownership just because Microsoft's automated system locked the email.

Has anyone successfully dealt with Mojang support to transfer a license under these circumstances? Is there any way to escalate this past the automated/copy-paste responses?

Any upvotes or advice to get some visibility on this would mean the world to my brother. Thank you.

Hello! This is the first time I've set up a Minecraft server and I need help getting my friends online.

I am running proxmox on a machine. In proxmox I have a VM hosting Ubuntu and Ive installed 1.20.6 Minecraft server. The version of Minecraft was my least concern. Getting it working was my priority. The server runs great, I'm able to get on it and I receive feedback from the terminal.

Here's the problem.

I gave my friends my ubuntus public IP address since they are not on my network. The command i ran was **curl ifconfig.me**. The VM public ip address, not proxmox. Makes sense to me maybe im wrong. In the terminal it does say it has opened the server via the Minecraft default port 25565. I have them add server and enter server name:25565. They keep getting the getsockopt error.

I read somewhere about doing tunneling and i tried through playit.gg however the website kept returning no ports available. I really dont want to spend money on support like that. Last resort is port forwarding but that can expose you to attackers by opening a port. Ive read that people put a VPN on their network to add a layer of security.

I logged into my router via browser and did port forwarding. Basically the ip address of the VM that has the minecraft server on it. And then set all the ports for lan and wan to 25565. My friends are still having trouble connecting.

I still have been giving them the public ip address for ubuntu vm.

I went into my vm ubuntu firewall and didn't have port 25565 on there. I added it by doing sudo ufw allow 25565.

Gave friends publicIP:25565, and they still keep geting getsockopt error.

Any advice?

No, skin grabbing sites aren't working, I edited my skin from the default Steve skin so thats why ig the grabber sites show me steve skin..

If anyone could please make me one, I'll take it, I'll share whatever needed like screenshots of the skin or everything I edited in the in-game skin editor

So recently a friend of mine has made a realm and i wanted to join cause it sounded fun, and so i downloaded bedrock edition from the launcher and it launches and then is stuck on a black screen and is stuck in an an infinite not responding, this confuses me because i can play the other version and i've played plenty of medium sized mod packs through cursed forge, is there something i can do to fix this?

My minecraft is working very slow.

i have Nvidia Geforce rtx 5060 Ti, ryzen 5 9600X and 32gb of ram.

i have like 60 fps and its not my settings i use like 8 chunks and i changed minecraft ram from 4gb to 8gb.

I have approximately eight old worlds from versions 1.16 or 1.17. I thought I could simply copy and paste them into my world saves folder, but when I open the game with the old world in the save folder, they don’t appear in the single-player menu. I’ve noticed that opening a 26.2 world in files looks different from the 1.17 worlds. Is there any way I can convert them or something? I tried joining the game on 1.17, but they still weren’t in the playable screen. I really want to see my old worlds from when I was a kid, but they just don’t appear. I can troubleshoot or provide more information if needed.

im newly buy minecraft and cant accsess to multiplayer, im look at sloves in interent but none of them worked, please, i want to get out from this hell, but none of exits worked

I was trying to set some controls on my new MacBook’s Minecraft and because of the way they have the settings set up, if you accidentally click anything of the controls twice it’ll set it’s key as the left trigger. So now any time I try to fix it in the in game settings or play the game I just get a million screenshots

There was a post like this a few years back saying to go into code and change it manually which I did already multiple times and triple checked and despite the code saying that screenshot is no longer set to left click, it definitely is.

My game is completely unplayable and I just bought it, I’m really upset 😭
