You wake up, groggy and confused on the sands of an unknown shore. A terrible storm and the feeling of cold water are the last things you remember. The sun shines bright on this large land and it feels as if there's a strange energy in the air.. Where have you ended up?

Welcome to Providence! A lore-heavy modded minecraft roleplay server where you guide your characters story through the lands of Arcadia along with many others.

The server takes place around the 1700s in Arcadia, a continent lost to war and time, hidden away from the rest of the world. A magic war made the world believe Arcadia had been wiped off the map, leading to a worldwide magic ban. A barrier was put up around the hidden continent, keeping everything outside out of it, and everything inside trapped within. A hundred years later, people began getting lost at sea. The barrier began to crack. Since then, people have not stopped appearing on the shores of Arcadia.

Currently our server is nearing the end of its second season! A violent storm has been brewing for the last couple of months, as a monstrosity was let out of its cage. Now, it is roaming the lands of Arcadia, recollecting itself, and waiting for the right time to strike. There are six mysterious powers that lurk within the shadows of this place. Each with their own domain. They grant gifts to those who strengthen their domain and spread their cause. Will your character turn from them? Or perhaps embrace them?

Our server has custom origins and fighting styles for players to pick from. Our origins are not races, they are innate talents/abilities your character would have which leaves more creative freedom when making your character! Develop your characters aspirations and goals as you go through the land, meet other characters, discover magic, discover the barrier, and so much more.

Our minecraft server runs a bit different than others as we strive for people to try and be in character as much as possible. We encourage random encounter/spontaneous roleplays, we are not very combat/pvp heavy, and we do not run like an SMP. We are trying to create a fluid and realistic story. Characters are all around the same power level and start off with similar amounts of knowledge. There’s a detailed story that people can discover by pre-built structures, roleplaying with older characters and events.

Our modpack is on the lighter side, making it easier accessible for people on low-end computers. It includes Ars Nouveau, Create, Alex's Mobs, Terralith, Arnourer's Workshop and more! We also have a research system, where a character can research things about the world and unlock recipes.

Staff are welcoming and always happy to help when it comes to answering questions, helping with tech/the mod pack, and character creation! We are also incredibly lucky to be able to offer our own mod the creation of custom items! Custom swords, tools, armor and more can be made if players make a ticket and write out in-character research for one!

Providence has an amazing, solid community of writers, artists, and gamers. Outside of roleplay we often host party games which everyone is welcome to join! Our server is 18+. If you are 17 and wish to take part in the server we encourage you to wait until after you turn 18 to join!

Can we please ban AI garbage from here? It's a spit in the face of actual creativity, and in direct opposition to what makes a good roleplay community.

Roleplay is an inherently creative process, a form of storytelling and writing. Generative AI, by it's very nature, is plageristic, and as anyone who has an education higher than a fourth grader's knows, plagerism is not okay. It is one of the biggest insults any artist can recieve, and to encourage it is to encourage the death of the art.

Looking for suggestions/advice for a Minecraft Roleplay

Hello, all.

I'm currently attempting to create a Minecraft Roleplay but am having trouble on where to get started. I'm looking for some advice or suggestions that can help me. Being this is THE Minecraft Roleplay subreddit I figured to ask here first. I'm a little scared this kind of post won't be allowed on r/Minecraft.

I've been roleplaying in Minecraft for, like, 10 years. Way back then, there were services that allowed for quick and easy joining of various hosted worlds. They're all gone now, and no replacements have been made. I've grown up used to a specific way of roleplay and the base game features do not satisfy my needs.

I mainly have 3 issues now:

  1. I want players to be able to join using whatever name they wish, without being forced to use their Xbox/Microsoft username. This is to ensure immersion, and it is what I've grown up used to since you didn't need to sign into Xbox to play with people using the services I talked about earlier.
  2. In the past, the more people that joined, the laggier the worlds we roleplayed in would become. We used to roleplay on Bedrock, with our phones, but have considered switching to Java now that, at least most of us, have computers. Java is a lot more complex than what I'm used to and so I'm unsure if I want to follow through with the transition or stay on Bedrock and find other ways it can be optimized.
  3. And my last issue is about what version to mainly use. Between Java or Bedrock. I'm used to Bedrock, but it's definitely pissed me off a few times and I rather not have the state of my worlds be left up to fate. Though I'm willing to follow through with whatever version makes hosting a world easier granted they also resolve the above issues.

I've tried hosting on Bedrock through Xbox, Realms, and used add-ons to try and resolve the above issues. No luck. I'm looking for any leads; anything. I'll be willing to also talk about the roleplay in detail if anyone is interested.

The toybox (Origins mc rp)

Minecraft Rp, Fnaf: Hidden Data looking for body/voice actors, builders and ect.

Hi everyone, so for a while me and my friends (Steelcraft RP) wanna start a rp channel in youtube, we finally finished the map ,trailer and ect , now we just need more people to body act or voice act... well or you can just do both. (need to be older than 15 y.o. and java player)

Were planning a long serie which will have all the animatronics at some points so we need people, and to be honest we have some other series than fnaf in mınd but nothing is really done for them.

Ok so for the fnaf serie were planning to be a long one with open schedule, which means its ok if you dont join in some episodes if you want with the exceptions of lore episodes where we will need your character, most episodes will be like going around ,doing stuff and having fun so nothing too proffesional. CASTING FOR BROOKSHADE UNIVERSITY SEASON 2

THE SHOW IS 16+

Like the title says, we're casting people for season 2 of Brookshade University, and if you want to start now, we always have room for extras, artists, people to help brainstorm plot points, etc.

The show is made by Foxy02016 on Youtube, he is also the voice of the main character, Foxy. I am the voice of Luna in the show and have done a bit of writing for it.

The show follows our cast at Brookshade University as they navigate college events, some normal, others not so much. So far we have 3 episodes out and a minigame so there's some content to watch if you're unsure on joining or if you just want to watch what we have so far. We also have a tiktok, Brookshade University, where we post clips of the show, memes, bloopers, and trailers.

Potential idea

Hello, I go by gray and I wanted to gauge interest around an idea I had.

It's called the night after and is a survival based fantasy/sci-fi server.

As the name suggests you must figure figure before the night after when the crash happened, you are now left stranded on a planet.

With there being a expanded farming system, automation with the Create Mod, a heavier focus on exploration and most likely a custom world/structures.

This is a massive undertaking so I wanted to make sure people are Interested before continuing In this medium.

This is “Checking In” E4’s of thumbnail along with the trigger warnings for it. Wondering if I did something wrong.

I posted this to YT about 3 days ago and got a comment on how “Minecraft is for kids” and how “I shouldn’t put such mature content out there for curious kids (didn’t label it 18+, but also did not put this “for kids”) ” but I know that I’m not the only one who puts this type of Minecraft content out there. The one I immediately thought of was aphmau’s (“My inner demons”) Minecraft roleplay. Less mature than mine I think. I might have a similar issue if I just animated it without Minecraft because “it’s animated so it’s for kids” 😮‍💨. I’m mostly wondering if I’m in the wrong here, though I plan to keep it up anyway.
