I recently bought the latest posrche skeleton rexy and lamborghini ronin. This is my 2nd minigt purchase and I feel like there is a huge downgrade in its quality.

My first minigt was porsche dakar blue for price 1299. Honestly its a really good casting in terms of built quality. Then i bought a poprace which had far better built quality than the dakar.

But the newest model doesnt even come close to the dakar in terms of quality. The side mirrors are flimsy, the bottom panel is light plastic, the body feels light and fragile, the windshield is poor, other plastic parts feel very fragile. This doesnt match up to the price tag of 1399 (ronin), 1679 (rexy)

Has the quality really gone down ?

I dont think i will be buying minigts in future if the quality is going to go down further.

I'm completely new to customizing MINI GT cars and I'm planning my first custom build. Before I start, I wanted to ask for some advice from people with more experience.

Few questions:

1:Where do you usually get your decals for MINI GT customs?

2:Do you buy pre-made decal sheets, print your own, or use custom services?

3:What type of decals do you recommend (water-slide decals, vinyl stickers, or something else)?

4:If you're using vinyl, what kind/brand works best for 1:64 scale?

5:Do you have any favorite websites, sellers, or stores for decals and vinyl?

One more thing-I don't plan on using a clear coat because I don't want to alter the factory paint finish. If I skip the clear coat, which type of decals or vinyl would hold up best and still look clean over time?

Any beginner tips would also be greatly appreciated.

How do you all display your Mini GTs?

What cases or displays are tried, tested and durable?

I love these box cases, but they aren’t easy to put together, and require a lot of patience. They are compact and don’t have screws, so that adds to the clean and crisp look. If you are someone who like to keep swapping the cars in the display, then you need to be careful while re-opening these case as the mechanism used is to click / snap into the rivets and not magnets.

The blister cases are from Made by Dots. Simply love it!Once you build the first one, then it’s a breeze to do the rest. The first one is a bit of a challenge. The magnetic open/close makes it very easy to switch out the blister pack inside.

Some tips for acrylic cases, if the paper doesn’t peel easily, use a wet cloth soaked in warm soap water to dab at the edges. They release the adhesive and the paper is easier to remove.

Why shipping charges on krazy caterpillar is so much? 200 is too much imo

I've recently bought the LCD model's mclaren MP4/24 and when I seperated the car from the base, it has these spots on the base where the wheels sit. Why is this happening? I had the same problem with my new CM model pagani zonda reva barchetta as well. Is there anything I can do about it ?
