Copernicus

This is my new baby Copernicus. I have had mini dachshunds for over 20 years. Still manage to forget how difficult puppies are! 🐶🐾

Meet my puppies

Gizmo and Zoey 😊
I love them so much. We’ve had them for 4 weeks and are finally getting a semi-routine going that works for us!

Any way to tell what type of coat she could be?

I’m trying to find a long haired dachshund puppy near me and was wondering what to look for in a puppy. She’s four months old. Also if someone else had a similar puppy that looks like this I’d love to see pictures of them as an adult ☺️

Do you add carrot bits to kibbles? If so, how much?

I feed my 7 year old mini dachshund two quarter cups of kibble a day, one in the morning and another one in the evening as advised. Someone at a dog park suggested that giving my dog carrot bits with her kibble would add beneficial fiber to her diet. I’d like to try it, but I'm not sure how much I should give. If anyone here does the same, please let me know the right amount for a mini dachshund. Thanks in advance.

What does your mini do when they are mad at you?

My 7 month old girl will deliberately get the toilet paper and roll my house. This morning I let her out to do her business and back inside. Since I'm off today I decided to go back to bed. Get up an hour later to toilet paper everywhere. She's mad I didn't stay up and play with her. Otherwise she never touches the toilet paper. Only when she's mad. I can give her hugs and kisses and tell her bye bye when I go to work and leave her several hours and she's fine.
