Watching the livestream right now and they just jammed on Just One Fix for a couple minutes! Took me a minute to realize what I was witnessing.
I need to give this a play. Forgot I had it. And can I borrow your VCR?
This is difficult to accept. This is another mini story from Al (I don't even want to call him uncle anymore) Jorgensen.
We all long long ago came to accept that he talked a lot of horse shit about everything to everyone. The closest most of us have got to ever know the real Ministry was in Chris Connolly's fantastic book Concrete Bulletproof invisible and fried.
Chris had to do a second edition to bring into the light that none of the original Revolting Cocks were getting any royalties from the massive amounts of re-releases of CDs etc.
Then Al wrote (ghost wrote) his memoirs, his autobiography. He wasn't very kind about a lot of people. Then we find out he was so drunk all the time he can't remember what he said.
Since Paul Barker left there's not really been a whole Ministry album that was worthy of the band. Some great songs but not great albums. Not since Filth Pig in my view. Even Animosity was pretty good.
Then Al falls back in love with his most hated never played music and re-releases all of that, and tours it.
But there was a light, a promise, an event so unbelievable I didn't believe it. Then there were photos. I still didn't want to be let down so I didn't get excited. Paul Barker was coming back! They were going to do an entire album together like the old days. Fucking awesome. It would be great to have another Jourgensen/Barker album out.
Then Paul sang one song at a festival. Now this.
I'm very disappointed. You lied again Al. Another Ministry Mini Story.
