Not my car, but my original photo. Will forever be one of my fave pics I've ever taken. Taken at MOD (mitsubishi owners day) in CA.

Further improvement on my current design, no more cables running all over the place
Looking to buy an Evo 8 MR or 9 as a weekend car. I don't mind if it has some downtime when something breaks, but I want to make sure parts are actually obtainable. Does the aftermarket cover most mechanical repairs, or are there essential OEM parts that are getting completely impossible to find now?
Anyhow here is a picture I took of a Evo while in Osaka
My 8 is going through a lot right now. Ton to do before it's at the level I want it to be. It has definitely went through some history.
Some days I just want to sell it and quit, some days no other project cars I had previously can replace it. Whenever I drive it and it works without an issue... it's just truly one of those cars that just makes me happy.
What's your story?
12’ EVO X
Is this normal? Just installed and noticed that it has a little bit of play. Is this normal or did I mess up by not tightening it a little bit more? Pedal goes straight to ground because I haven’t put any fluid in and bled the system yet. Just wanted some opinions before I continue.
Made a post a while back asking about a turbo rebuild kit, figured that out but realized I never showed the car off. Tragic story with the ownership, had a blast owning and driving it everywhere, miss it a lot. Found it for sale recently, wish I could afford to buy it back. Anyone got any wild ideas for making a quick $40k? Jk... Unless? All jokes aside, the evo x, and its predecessors are amazing cars, hoping to try and buy mine back one day.
What specs are you all running to achieve flush fitment without having to roll fenders or run spacers?
Just looking for a spec that i can slap on and no dramas, have greddy coilovers. Thanks!
Hello, I have my evo 8 here and I’m looking to make around 400whp as reliability as possible. I have a list of things I think I need and I’m just looking for some input as to whether or not I need everything on the list or if I need more. For reference I’m currently sitting at 290whp with an evo X bov, 2.5in dp, hfc and catback, walbro 255, grimmspeed boost controller and lower ic pipe.
The list I’ve come up with is as follows:
FP Green (used rebuild) - $1,100
FMIC - $400
Upper ic piping - $280
3” downpipe - $130
3” turbo elbow - $100-150
O2 housing - $150-250
STM Evo 9 Turbo Install Kit - $450
SD intake + sensor kit - $470
Injectors 1000cc - $600
Fuel pump relay - $25
Competition Clutch Stage 2 - $650
Spark plugs NGK BPR8ES - $30
Lucked out and found a seriously clean, stock version in January with 130k kms. Took delivery just two days ago.
The 7 is my favourite of the series so it's icing on the cake for me. Underside is so clean it's almost unbelievable.
I keep heading down to the carpark every so often just to stare at her.
Stoked to finally be part of the community and no longer an outsider 🤘
I have titan 25mm hub, car has 40k miles has 255/45 R18
I had dealership (Mitsubishi) inspect it said everything was retorqued to spec, the issue is still there, pads and rotors are all good
Could this setup cause vibration, the current wheel n tire setup
Occurs only at high speed 70-80mph driving 60mph braking as well
Is my EVO IX making any noise that I should be concerned about or is this pretty standard 4G63 MIVEC idle noise? Thanks in advance!
btw some more info, the car has ~150k miles, idles very smoothly and drives great.
Installed and it looks like it should have came this way! Added grip tape and installed into the LHD evo 8 with matching hardware to the other pedals. Probably will polish it soon to get the same surface finish, but overall quite pleased!
I bought my first one 16 years ago (the blue one) I’ve had over 20 Mitsubishis.
Currently own the 2011 Lancer es, 2010 Ralliart hatch, 2010 Evo x, 2005 Evo 8 and 2006 Evo 9 wagon
